In greek mythology, Ladon was a fearsome dragon that guarded the golden apples of Juno's garden. It guarded the apples for many long years until eventually it was killed by hercules. As thanks for its faithful service, Juno placed the dragon in the sky, creating the constellation we now know as Draco. Isbah loves the story of Ladon, and aspires to be like the dragon; she has always felt a connection to it. Looking up to Ladon is one of the most important components of who Isbah is as a person, and an important influence on the choices she makes.

constellation for back leg; his namesake, perseus; the son of the princess danae and a god (presumably zeus). danae's father, king acrisius, found her in her tower (which he had locked her in after an oracle of apollo had told him that a son of danae would kill him) with a baby boy in her arms. he was furious, so locked her and the baby in a trunk and threw them in the sea. they somehow managed to arrive safely to the island of seriphos, where the king polydectes ruled. perseus grew up to be a very fine, very strong young man. once polydectes heard of danae, he asked for her hand in marriage, but was shot down. if it wasn't for perseus, polydectes would've married her by force; which led to him plotting to get rid of perseus. long story short, polydectes asked for the head of the gorgon, medusa. perseus agreed and set off, going through a few tasks along the way before eventually decapitating medusa. he is also the owner of the winged horse, defeater of atlas, and the savior and lover of andromeda.
perseus admires the story of his namesake and dreams of perhaps becoming a hero one day, so he is determined to help anyone he comes across that is in need, no matter how small the task - whether it be the sweet old plumie reaching for something on the high shelf at the market or the veteran on the corner needing someplace to stay or a child crossing the street.
