Day 5
Username: Ravendarus
Cow: Zebra
Prompt: Zebra blinked curiously and tilted her head, "Oh ah... um... good question." She said, "Oh um..." She said, "A difficult decision I am not very good with you see. I wouldn't know how to make the choice. I suppose in that sense I would have to ask for help because I don't believe I could handle it on my own. There is nothing stopping me from making it I guess aside from the fact I wouldn't know what is the right choice. I'd need help weighing out my options so that I don't make a mistake or something." She said. "Oh wait a second!" Zebra said surprised, "Is this a difficult decision? Goodness I wasn't prepared for it! Okay give me at least a day! I'll go talk to my friends about it and come back to let you know okay?" Zebra said gently and then blinked surprised, "You mean I already answered? All by myself?! Goodness... I didn't realize! I had answered without knowing! It's amazing. Wow I guess I have been getting more confident in myself. Wait what? This wasn't a difficult decision? Oh well then.... I guess we will never know haha." She chuckled gently. Zebra chuckled sheepishly and nodded her head, "I am sorry about that. I am not sure I answered the question correctly or not." She said.

    Day 5
    Username: paopu
    Cow: Caspian
    Prompt:
Day 5: When faced with a difficult decision, how does your Buttermilk handle it? Do they have a hard time making that decision on their own? Do they ask for help from others?

It's entirely possible that Caspian has never made a difficult decision in her entire life. It's not that it's never come up, but Caspian's impulse control is spotty at best. Most decisions, from the important to the trivial, are made at the drop of a hat without even a moment's consideration. Consequence? Cas doesn't know her. Like a canon ball, she pushes through choices and takes no prisoners on her way through. In other words, decisions are easy for her to make and, while that often means consequences, they very rarely managed to fly low enough not to go over her head. She's also not one for asking for help. It's not even that she's against doing so as much as it is she doesn't have the patience for it. Often times a decision has been made and acted on before it even occurs to her that it would be wise to ask for help. The one blessing is, when things do take time, she's very eager to ask for opinions. She loves work shopping more long term projects and isn't above asking for help to do things like, say, for example, buy a ship. In fact, much of her free time is seeking out donations for her dream.

Day 5
Username: ♔Voltaire♔
Cow: Bridgette
Prompt:
"Usually when I find myself in a situation where I need to make a really important choice, I usually ask Temperance what I should do! We are close enough to where we can ask each other fort our honest opinions about certain things, so honestly I would trust her judgement when making a decision that could affect me or the people around me! There are some decisions where I can immediately figure out what the best course of action is depending on the circumstance- I am not really a person who likes asking people for their opinions on things, but there comes a point in everyone's life where a choice can severely impact the way the future ends up playing out.

"In those cases, I would probably get as much feedback as possible. I myself have never had to make such life-changing decisions, but I know that our herd leader has to make those types of calls each and every day. Hotaru does a great job with asking people for their insight and opinions on things she wants to change, and I really am grateful I am not in her shoes, haha! I would be super anxious trying to get each and every person's opinion on something like she does!" (210 words)

Day 5
Username: Cactologist
Cow: Bedelia
Prompt: Bedelia is indecisive about everything, even the small things that won't matter in the end. But be it deciding what to eat, what to wear, or what movie to watch, she always struggles. Don't even mention trying to decide what she wants to do during each day! Often it seems like she can't get anything done, because it takes her hours to decide almost anything if she doesn't have someone to help her. Oh, and you gotta believe this annoys those who know her to no end! Once she was trying to decide which fabric to buy for a quilt, and she puzzled and puzzled all day until the store had to close! Every time she has a decision to make, first she has to consider all her options. Then, if possible, she will make a pros-and-cons list for each. If each option looks good, that's when the decision can stretch from minutes to hours. The worst part is that she knows the habit is bad, but she hates to let others down, so she hates to ask for help and frets even more! So, if you see Bedelia in public trying to make a decision, feel free to offer your opinion voluntarily or else who knows how long she'll stand there! (212 words)

Day 5
Username: Knickknacks
Cow: Phoebe
Prompt:
Having grown up with three siblings and no shortage of adults to turn to, Phoebe is well used to asking for advice. She knows that some individuals possess a peculiar sort of pride that makes them reluctant to ask for help or counsel, but she grew up seeing this practice almost daily- between her mother, and Delphi and Chantin, as the adults worked together to keep Cherry Creek running smoothly. With her sisters, when completing schoolwork- since every sister had her own strengths and weaknesses, they often swapped answers and explanations and tips to better help each other along.

Though Phoebe can be somewhat withdrawn at times, she is no stranger to reaching out to others for help. She knows it's impossible to do everything by yourself, and has seen clear examples throughout her life of how coming together to work out solutions for difficult decisions and problems can make them easier.

If faced with a difficult decision of her own, Phoebe would most certainly not keep it to herself, or try to shoulder the burden alone. She would reach out to those she knows and loves, to get their perspective on the matter and support in deciding a course of action.

    Day 5
    Username: acadicus
    Cow: Edmond
    Prompt:
"When I'm faced with a tough decision, I like to think it out. Rash decisions lead to unintended consequences, which I obviously want to avoid. It's really important to take everything into consideration. Sometimes, if it's something really big, I'll sleep on it. That gives my brain a chance to think it all through before I say something I'll regret later. Decisions can be very hard, but you will have to come to a conclusion sooner or later and it's best to just accept that.

"I think nature is very good for decision-making. There's something relaxing to sitting on a rock and watching the world progress around you, and it's good to have a clear mind when you're trying to make a decision.

"I am a culprit of this myself, but it's best if you don't dwell on past mistakes. The world will go on. You will be okay eventually. Regretting what you chose in the past every day will do nothing but hurt you in the long run. However, you can prevent some of those feelings by thinking things through properly, as I've stated earlier.

"If you need help, there's nothing wrong with reaching out. There's only so much you can do on your own sometimes." (207)

Day 5
Username: Joke's On You
Cow: Meadow
Prompt:

A difficult descision? Oh god...

Meadow hates when she has to make a difficult descision because she feels the immense amount of weight and pressures of the descision on her shoulders, without a doubt. She always takes the longest time trying to make a decsision because she doesn't want to make the wrong one. She tries her best to weigh both situations at hand when she does have to make one, even if this process could take hours or heck- even days.

She will also use her daughter Pluto as a sort of outside eye in the descision she is trying to make in order for no bias to become apart of the descision making. She trusts her daughter to help her with this sometimes, and when she does go to her, it helps her a lot. Especially hearing the opinions. Having a different opinion helps move her into the direction of what her heart thinks, which in the end, makes the descision making process a lot easier for her. Of course, even with her daughter's two sense, Meadow still needs a bit to process everything to be able to make a final descision. She again, weighs both decsisions at hand to help her, considering the advice that her daughter has given her and what her heart starts to say, then chooses from there.

It's a long process trying to make the end decision, but again, Meadow absolutely hates having to make difficult decsisions. Though in the end, even though the decision making process is wrong, she always manages to make the right choice. Which ends up being a complete relief to her in the end. [276]

Day 5

Postby yeena » Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:27 am

    Day 5
    Username: ceance

    Cow: Percival
Prompt: Ever since the day that Percival cut his toxic friend from his life, he's found all the future hard decisions as a choice that was easy to make. Percy might have been gullible and anxious, but he definitely understood what he was worth and most of the time, he was not worth the sass and harassment from somebody that he trusted and thought of as a friend. Most decisions come easily in his mind, especially when faced with harder choices. He truly doesn't like to linger on thoughts since lingering just means that the future choice will be more challenging than before, plus he drags himself down with constantly thinking about his choices.
As a result, Percival is well versed in knowing what he wants and how he wants it. He understands when someone hurts him and how long he can take it before he has to speak up about it. He knows what it's like to be put down by his friend because they don't want him to be happy or they want him to change for their unreasonable demands. Consequently, Percival is very exact and quick to make decisions, especially when faced with the harder choices in life. Being anxious has it's own set of assisting traits at times. [211W]

Day 5
Username: Pufferheart
Cow: Beth
Prompt:

Beth looked at the sign. To the right, the farmer's market. The the left, a town. Straight was also an option, but the sign didn't mention it, and it was covered in overgrown weeds, roots, and plants.

This is going to be a hard decision, thought Beth. Straight looks like a great, adventurous place. Left is another town, and towns usually are exciting. I've never been to a farmer's market, which is the direction to the right. If I pick the wrong one I might end up without any food or a bed to sleep in once again.

Beth smiled and said, "I'll choose the right!"

When making any kind of decision at all, Beth is quick about it. She thinks about each option, and after about 10 seconds, she had her choice. Beth likes to say if you think about it any longer, you'll start to doubt what your gut says, and you should never do that. It doesn't matter if the choice is what apple to eat, what direction to go, or something very important like if she should give her most prized possession to a stranger in exchange for their bed for one night. The answer was no way, if you were wondering.

Always trust your gut and you'll never be wrong about any choice at all.

Day 5
Username: Yodel
Cow: Alli
Prompt:
Because of how Alli's childhood took place, typically being on her own with the exception of her animal buddies due to the fact that she was bullied, she is used to making her own decisions. However, that does not mean she isn't indecisive.

Due to her nervousness, Alli is almost always anxious that she will make the wrong choice, especially when a lot of things or people will be affected by that choice. She often mulls over a decision for what seems like ages. That being said, she isn't new to making the decision on her own without help from others.

As she warms up to other cows she has been trying to reach out to others for help in general, including making decisions. Often just getting an opinion from someone else can aid her in finally making a choice.

She has also had many suggestions given to her to try to help speed up the process, like flipping a coin, which she has tried before but even after it's done, she continues to wonder if it is actually the right choice. In the end, there really was no point to the coin flip.

When she can, Alli tries to avoid decisions because she is blatantly aware of her indecisiveness, and when it can't be avoided, she tries to pass off the decision to someone else if the option is available and she feels comfortable doing so. She would hate to be responsible for a wrong choice.
