Kismet enjoys the word fastidious mainly because it has a nice sound and it rolls off their tongue.

Fastidious was also the name of a character from a book Kismet read when they were younger

(Gossamer by Lois Lowry) in which Fastidious was their favorite character. Kismet didn't know

at the time what the name meant, but was curious enough to look it up. They were not surprised

at the meaning, as the character fit the name almost too well.

Kairo chose this word because it reminds him of his beloved mother and favorite childhood memory. When Kairo was still a young child, he and his mother went on a vacation to visit the Glowworm Caves which were said to be beautiful inside. The boat-ride into the caves was exciting for a child but nothing compared to what they'd find inside. Once they had gotten into the caves, the pair found themselves astounded by the beauty. The ceiling twinkled like blue stars, limestone formations added their light to the already ethereal glow of the ceiling, it was beautiful. Curious as to why the caves glowed in such a way, Kairo asked his mother who informed him it was because of something called Bioluminescence and glowworms. He wouldn't figure out exactly what the word meant until later in life though.

His favorite word is Archetype, a word used in psychology. It means "the original pattern or model of which all things of the same type are representations or copies" or just a simple definition: "a perfect example of something".
C. G. Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist used that word to describe the phenomenon of splitting our personality into different pieces. "Persona" is the part of our personality we show to the world while "shadow" is the part of us we hide from the world because it either isn't socially acceptable or hides our secrets. Chestre is interested in psychology and he enjoys studying different kinds of archetypes since it helps him to understand people better - another thing psychologists use archetypes for - human's behavior research. This is what Chestre wants to do, being able to actually understand why people act like they do.
