name;;
Moriah Merle
(from old French word, means 'blackbird'.)
"Mortis"
('rigor mortis'- stiffness of a corpse after death.)
relationship with brother;;
Moriah adores her brother from the bottom of her heart, but never really knows how to show it due to him being busy and her being rather intimidated by him. As a child she admired him (and she still does) and would follow him around a lot. She used to sneak into his bed at night (against the orders of their parents) to ward off bad dreams and keep the 'monsters' at bay, but stopped as they got older, unsure of what he and everyone around him would think. Her tendancy to stiffen up and freeze when frightened or nervous gained her the nickname of "Mortis" from her brother, also stemming from her strange interest in death and horror. Even now Moriah is easily scared despite her job of writing horror novels, and staying up late due to her insomnia and doing research for her books makes her paranoid. She rarely sees Ezra due to his job, but when they both do find the time she feels relaxed and comforted by his presence, just like she did as a child.
