Chesapeake, a name I think is lovely. He goes by Chess for short. I chose this name because I've always thought this community needed a Chesapeake Bay boy. ♥

Favorite Bug:

Ah, the beautiful butterfly. With its beautiful colors it sure is a wonderful prize to collectors. However, Chess eats these beautiful creatures. And although they have bright colors and may look like sweet candies, they have quite a sour taste to behold.

Why?:

Well, Chess is a young baby, and he sometimes puts things in his mouth when he isn't supposed to. A poor butterfly happened to be stuck in his home. His brother caught it for him to show him. Chess picked it right up and ate it whole. While his brother had a horrified look on his face, Chess had an even stranger face. Imagine eating a whole bag of Sourpatch Kids (including the sour powder at the bottom) and then drink a whole pitcher of unsweetened lemonade to wash it down? That's how Chess felt and he made a quite distorted expression. After the taste when away, he started to search for more butterflies. He had acquired a taste for the sour butterflies. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for butterflies everywhere, he has only caught few ill-fated butterflies that managed to get caught in his clutches.

Hi, I'm Tide

I have a small family of characters, Finn, Dragon, and Sorbet. I'm looking to expand it to include a new JBD, and Jam is the right fit. He's still very young, but as he matures I'm sure he will blend in nicely.

Jam is a boy's boy still, playful and sometimes irritating. He's still maturing, but for now he's always in trouble. Either he's finding bugs to torture Finn or wrestling with Dragon (and losing, which will change when he hits his growth spurt and can simply sit on Dragon xD). Sorbet has the most patience for his antics, letting him bake with her and keeping him busy. He's still very hyper, so there's no telling what he'll ultimately end up doing for fun.

Japanese Beetles eat a wide variety of plants, however, their favorite comes from the foilage on grape vines. This gives them a sweet and very fresh taste, and in Jams favorite flavor; grape.

Jam loves all things grape, but only in small doses. He's still a baby after all xP What makes this grape eating insect special to him, is its crunchy shell (often tasting strogly of dew) that protects the sweet inside. Better still, it had some weight to it, meaning that Finn always feels it when he hides one in her hair. For those of you that don't know Finn, she spontaneously combust at the first sign of anything creepy or crawly.
