Everyone has summer hobbies, some go fishing, others tan, and then some just sit on their computer all day. Well there is one dragon that finds all those tasks quite boring, and his name is Kahlua. He has a hobby that when people claim it's unique, they're making a major understatement. Kahlua likes to feed worms lemonade on hot days so they won't shrivel up and die. Yes, you heard right. Kahlua used to see so many dead worms dried up on the ground, and figured it was because they couldn't get a drink in time. So, being creative, Kahlua decided to make a fresh batch of lemonade and feed it to the worms. Ever since then, he has seen a huge decrease in the amount of dead worms, and continues to do this every summer.

favorite summer activity;; catching butterflies in a net. it may seem a little girly, and his personality doesn't fit with this normally, but split has a soft spot for butterflies. he likes to interact with them/see how they interact with him, and he likes to nurse his own caterpillars into butterfly stage and let them fly away. catching butterflies with a net is his main hobby however - he believes catching them is kind of cruel, but he does it just to investigate them, and that is the only method he knows. he never lets the butterfly stay too long - he always lets them go, and never studies them for more than a day to make sure they don't die. he also collects pictures of the butterflies he captures, but that's not really important. despite him being a flirty, courageous, dare-devil bad-boy, he would do anything to just travel the world discovering new butterflies he's never seen before. but no moths. he hates moths... a lot.

name;; Natsuko, 夏子. His name means 'summer' and 'child' in Japanese, and it suits him very well. Natsuko is a child at heart; he can't take anything seriously and is always making a joke out of everything. He warm and friendly like a summer day, but if you stay out too long, watch out! favorite summer activity;; Natsuko enjoys the Nango Summer Jazz Festival. He loves to listen to the songs that are played, and even he himself plays the Clarinet.

This event is held every year. Thousands of artists from all over Tohoku and even further regions come to Nango to perform. This is the largest open-air jazz concert held in Tohoku region. This festival began in 1989, in a small venue indoors. There was such a large response from the fans that is was expanded into a large annual festival. One must purchase tickets for this event (Bernard, 2007). This summer jazz festival doesn't cost anything but you still need to receive a ticket to enter.
