Art OR Story:
One morning, Joya was strolling throuh the forest happily. He loved to taking an early morning walk, when the air was crisp and fresh, and when the grass was a comfortable frosty damp. During this walk, it happened to be early winter, near Joya's birthday. Clouds gathered overhead, and Joya glanced up. "It looks as if it will snow soon." He commented and looked for better sheoter than the bare branches above his head. He was right, and very soon it began to snow heavily. It was barely thirty minutes before the piled up snow was about a foot high. Joya looked around, more desperate for shelter now, and spotted a large tree with a hollowed out trunk. He hurried inside it, and shrank back from a giant spider in the corner, but was thankful for shelter. Usually he loved to play in the snow, but his muscules and bones ached from the walk, for he had gone farther than he had originally planned. He waited about an hour until it stopped snowing. When it did, he strolled out, and sunk deep into the snow. It was now about three and a half feet. Joya gave a small yelp and rushed back inside. He was wondering how he was going to get home, when he heard a small "psst" from outside the hole on the other side of the tree, behind him. He turned around and started to follow it out of curiousity. When he came out of the hole, he saw a narrow cleared path. "Psst" came from inside the path, and Joya hesitantly followed it. He followed the "psst"s and the trail until he came to an extremely large hollowed tree. He froze, but curiousity got the best of him and he walked cautiously inside. It was pitch black inside, and Joya gulped. All of a sudden, lanterns blazed on, and all of Joya's friends jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE!" Joya stumbled backwards, then started laughing. "You guys! I said no surprise parties!" He said between fits of laughter, and his friends laughted too. "Sorry, it was too tempting when you said no surprises!" One of his best friends giggled and Joya grinned. "Thank you!" He said and hugged her. "Let the party begin!" One of them yelled and a huge red velvet cake was brought out, and the party began.
