Equidius Name: Commander

Position in herd: Defender
Personality: Determined and not likely to give up/in. He's pretty cunning and really thinks about his situation. Whether he's in a battle or disscussion. His best weapon is his intelligence. He is not as strong as most average stallion, so he relies on his brain to use his surroundings to defeat an Invader or a pack of wolves. When in an arguement, he uses what the other horses' say to bring them down and make his point. He has his soft side and is gentle too. He is very compassionate and would never, never leave a horse behind. He only kills when it's absolutely necessary.
Basic History Commander earns his name by his great battle tactics and strategies. He has fought about 4 major battles and more than 10 minor battles/encounters with predators/border attacks. He is still young of age, but has a wise mind of an elder. His mother died right after he was 4 years old. After that, his father taught his battle moves. Commander was excellent in that but he was never really strong. His father told him that his mother had just recovered from a sickness right before he was born. She was weakened by the unknown illness. That may be why Commander is not very strong, dispite his look of strong build. His father kept trying to improve Commander's strength. But Commander just did not have the strength to do the things his father and other young colts could do. His father gave up on trying to improve his strength. One day, he saw Commander running around with the other colts in the meadow. Commander was always in front. After about several minutes of straight on running, the other colts were completely tired out while Commander was still hopping around. He soon realized Commander had long muscular legs. He took Commander out one day and said they would race across the field. Whoever won got to jump in the cool river first. Commander excitedly accepted and they began. Commander and his father took off with great bursts of speed. Commander's father was 4 feet ahead of Commander. Commander suddenly started to catch up about halfway accross. Commander's father's was getting slower as he was getting tired. His jaw dropped when he saw Commander still galloping at the same speed and passing him! They reached the end of the field with Commander in first place. Commander leapt for joy and his father neighed happily for him. His father looked him in the eye after they settled down and got ready to jump in the refreshing water. "Son, you may not have be strong, but you have speed and endurance in those mighty hooves! Many horses don't have what you have. Some do have speed and stamina, but possibly not intelligence. Some strength have wisedom but never speed or stamina. Some have speed and strength, but never wisedom... Use your wisedom, speed, and stamina for good works." Commander smiled at his father that he finally had a "strength" to be proud of.

Why do you want one? It's a beautiful dapple grey coat. I am always attracted to any dapple grey horse! I've been waiting for an Equidius to adopt! I wanted a dark dapple grey stallion Equidius, and here it is!
What will you do with it? I may join the role-play. ;] But if I don't, I won't let him rot to dust in the corner.

Equidius Form

Equidius Name: Scavenge
Age: 8
Gender: Stallion
Size: 14 hands
Position in herd: Forager
Personality: When with the herd he could be classified as the class clown, he is cheeky, a little stubborn, is quite confident and loves to talk about wild fantasies with the foals in the herd or play with them and encourage them to be a bit cheeky. He does have a very loving and protective side to him when you get to know him but this takes time for it to show, he has never liked the caves that much either and found them boring and cramped. Scavenge also dislikes to be told he can't do something and has a very explosive temper on him when something gets to him. He may also try and wind you up when he wants to but will never go to far.Even tho he is a bit of a joker he does understand that forager role is very imporotant.
Basic History
As a foal he watched his father bravely defend the herd and dreamed of taking his place, but some of the elders don't trust him that much as they think he is immature which means he was never given the rank defender. When he was first told he was forager he was furious and his temper did explode he began to kick the cave walls as hard as he could until he was calmed down by his elderly mother. The next day was his first day of foraging but Scavange didn't care and didn't relise how important it was that he found some food. For that whole day he ate some food himself and simply trotted past others. When he returned the elders were furious to see he hadn't collected any food and there now wasn't enough to go round meaning some went hungry.
That night the elders threatened to band him from the herd if he didn't collect enough food the next day. Little did they know after that he had gone straight out that night to find food. He discovered he had a very good sense of smell. In the morning when he returned the elders were shocked to find he had found twice as much food as any forager before. They wanted to know how he did it, so he showed them. One of there other best foragers could find the sent of food from two bends away in the caverns but Scavange showed them he could smell food 5 twist and bends away in the caverns.
Some how it seemed that his gift was one of the most imporotant and his mother told him how proud she was before she passed away, but even after that Scavange never lost his sense of humor.
After showing he was good for something many elders do trust him but there are still some who won't let him near some of there foals as they are scared he will get them in trouble but the rest of the herd will tell you he would never do such and thing and wouldn't hurt a anything unless it was harming him or the herd.

Do you have an Equidius yet? No.
Why do you want one? Well I saw the first design for the species and fell in love with them! It's just one of thoes things you can't dislike. I have watched new designs being born and have always marvaled on how amazing they and the species are but I never had the courage to try and win one. As soon as I saw this Equidius I feel in love with him and his design! So I would love the chance to own one but would extremely love to own this one.
What will you do with it? Well I would love to RP with him in the RP thread you made for the Equidius as I feel (If not enough on paper but in my head.) I have built up a very strong personality for him to have and would love him as a charrie I could love and tend too. ^^

I hope I was detailed enough as I am not a very good writer. Sorry if I have any spelling mistakes in there I did proof read it but I'm not that sharp. Thanks for making him tho, he has such a lovely design. ^^
