She cringes at the frantic stomping as they end the life of whatever small creature caught their eye. Even though SZ foals are too big for secretary birds to go after, she still has nightmares about watching them chase other small babies across the plains while she huddled against her mother. She finds them too distasteful, obnoxious, and brazen with their killing to ever feel comfortable near one. Who knows what a hungry bird will try when your back is turned?
