He doesn't fashion himself a pirate; no, he has no ship nor sails seas specifically, but his aims are quite similar. Finding beautiful treasures -- and swindling it out of those unfortunate enough to cross his path -- is the name of his game.
xxxxxUnderneath that grandeur, there is a side of him that enjoys the practical: after all, a man who is only interested in finery won't get anywhere when it comes to trickery. However, practicality without any swagger is not his style. Thus, the perfect gift for Octavio will be an ornate dagger with gemstones embedded within its sheath. Rubies, emeralds, sapphires, anything will do, as long as the sparkle of the gem catches his eye. This is not his first or only weapon; however, he's raucously elated to have one just as debonair as himself.

His mother never left her room without being draped in the richest finery. Her favorite piece, as well as Kilian’s, was a shining moon-opal circlet that would perch beautifully in her silver hair everywhere she went. Kilian’s mother would often explain to him that it was not proper for royalty to be without adornments, for they were as much a symbol of power and authority as the blood that ran in his veins. However, when his mother was killed and his kingdom was taken through a coup d'état, Kilian fled from home, forsaking that very blood. Though he left behind his birthright and everything he knew, forced to live a mundane life as a commonfolk, he couldn’t help but hold on to his love for finery. He took with him as much of his collection as he could yet the one piece he wants more than anything is his mother’s moon-opal circlet which remains locked somewhere in the castle that is now held captive by enemy hands and far out of Kilian’s reach.

prompt: What better to fill Mally’s bottomless greed than a little companionship? What she had thought to be a chest full of more shiny treasure to add to her trove turned out to be some new cuddly critters, jewel bugs! Not only are they a girls best friend, but they also make great deterrents for squeamish thieves who dare try and take from her collection.

His beloved apple tree, with graphed branches of ruby, gold, and emerald apples, edible gems for any occasion. The tree is his only treasure from his childhood that he hasn't outgrown, and as he grew up, it was always the one treasure he'd return to whenever his adornments became a size too small - although after an apple or two, he was ready to forge for new treasures again!
