My favorite animal is a blobfish! A fun fact about them, they actually look like a pretty normal fish. But because of how far down in the ocean they live, when they are taken to the surface the sudden absence of water pressure deflates them into the famous pink blobfish.

One of my favorite animals is the colossal squid, and they’ve just managed to get confirmed footage of a live one for the first time this year! It was a baby but that’s still impressive since it’s been 100 years (this year) since the first discovery!

I hope I'm not too late augh... maned wolves are to a genus all of their own- pretty special right? They're also one of the only animals which are monogamous (mates for life, like humans!) Which is super cool!!! Im crazy about these guys :333

I love sand cats

Sand cats don't make many sounds, but when they do, it's not the sound you'd expect. When taking a break from its solitary lifestyle and looking for a mate, the sand cat uses mews and bark-like vocalizations as a mating call. The sounds have been likened to the high-pitched rasps of small dogs like chihuahuas
