Re: Aqueous Draconas V2 - Dracone #32 - Last Day!

Postby LOSTINUNKNOWN » Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:24 pm

I've been meaning to enter this competition, however, my life has been busy as of late.

Username: LOSTINUNKNOWN.
Prompt: Despite the various records detailing the dracone traditions of oviparous - stating therein that, suceeding the gestation period of roughly a month, the dracone acting as the "birthgiver" is to lay the egg in softened mud, partially bury it, and position a blanket of moss to overlie it - this egg was discovered in the lack thereof of those traditions. Much like quartz and amethyst gemstones, this egg was discovered wholly submerged within the confines of a deep river serving to border Eaos' territory, subsequently having been found by Arbris and Eaos amidst their recent habit of indulging a monthly walk together.
Extra?: Arbris initially believed that the egg in question was a rock, by consequence of the limited sight bestowed by the frost veiling his eyes, prior to noting the distinguishing cabbage patterns of their species' eggs and heedlessly throwing himself into the channel to retrieve it; disregarding both the simple fact that his wings would be nothing more than extra weight upon endeavoring to surface the water and Eaos' warnings by doing so. Eaos entered the water themself, as to ensure he wouldn't drown, and promptly hoisted Arbris onto the shallower portions of the riverbed shortly thereafter.

Dracoling's name: Rharos.
Pronouns: He/him.
How do they feel about running water (as in, rivers, streams, waterfalls, etc.)?: Despite the fact that Rharos wasn't quite old enough to perceive the circumstances in which he was discovered, he harbors an innate fear of both the sensation water gives when sheening his scales and the distinctive noise born of water sloshing together - to the extent of panicking during rainfall, tensing at the merest mist, and refusing to venture beyond Tundra enviroments.

Ah! I meant to get to this waaaay earlier. I'll add these details now! Also, poor Rharos 3: I wondered if that would be the case.

The cracks and subsequent sparkle displayed is quite the unique pattern - one of which I have been silently enamored by since it's appearance in his drancoling stage. I can certainly see why you're proud of this design. Thank you, Story.

You're very welcome, Lost! I'm so glad you enjoy seeing his design as much as I did bringing it into existence. ^v^
