rumor: He is said to have been to the moon. The rumor obviously originates from the moon-shaped glowing ball that accompanies him wherever he goes. This belief is also reinforced by the fact that looking closely at the moon one can see depicted the figure of a fable!
is it true?: Of course not, how silly! The accompanying orb looks like a small glowing moon, but it is actually a mischievous little spirit who loves pranks. It is a benevolent spirit and is great friends with Měsíc, but it is so annoying sometimes! And the figure on the moon... you could see anything!

rumor: there's a rumor going around about Nightspire, that he's a Vampire who worships the moon and drinks blood in honor of his goddess.
is it true?: No. He is a friendly witch that follows the moon for guidance, that 'blood chalice' is just a cup of strawberry and cherry juice that he enjoys sipping during his insomnia episodes late at night while enjoying the night air and ambience under the light of the moon. It does stain his lips a lot, and he drinks it from a chalice cause he thinks it looks cool.

rumor: Hushed whispers, snide gossip, and idle chat remark the same about that lonesome figure. Incapacitated by an immense hunger, everything hide from his great and drooling maw besides her. The moon was no stranger to odd and cruel creatures, as they often found sanctuary in her realm of night. Yet foolishness and mortality go hand and hand. Driven by ravenousness mania he swallowed the moon whole ( not in bites or tears, just one clean gulp ). In revenge, now it haunts him hovering right out of his sight but clearly for all to bear witness to his terrible grievance.
is it true?: The moon still rises every night, does it not? To think a mortal could merely consume or ever contain her greatness? Unthinkable, yet gods and goddess do love a good allegory especially one that paints themselves favorably.

rumor: Rumors swirl of a fable who spends his nights conjuring spirits and demons from beyond the veil.

is it true?: While spirits tend to surround Greeve wherever he goes, he did not conjure them. He just happens to be able to see them when others can't. When night falls, restless and angry spirits are drawn to his unearthly light. He acts as sort of a beacon for these lost souls, communicating with them in hopes of guiding them to a different light- one that would finally put them at peace.

rumor: They say Old Man Withers still roams the woods behind the town graveyard, even though he died years ago. Some kids swear they've seen him – a flickering shadow in the trees, a rustle of leaves when there's no wind, a wolf's cry when there is no moon. But the really chilling part? They say if you hear him whistling that old, off-key tune he used to play, he's not coming for you... he's already got you. You just don't know it yet.
is it true?: For, legal, reasons we can neither confirm nor deny these rumors. But I've seen him myself; it's true.

rumor: There are whispers that the dark figure on the edge of town is the restless spirit of a long-dead witch. They say Umbra appears every night in an attempt to lure unsuspecting Fables to their doom.

is it true?: Well, Umbra is no spirit, she is very much alive. She is most definitely a witch, though. And as for why she appears each night... no one is sure, not even her.

fable name: Wolfe
rumor:
The town has isolated Wolfe to his own little cottage on the edge of town. A strange howl can be heard around a full moon and flocks of sheep are attacked. Surely this is the work of this fable so aptly named. The townsfolk are convinced he is a werewolf with a bloodlust like no other on a full moon that even summons a pack of wolves to aide him. He even carries magick in the form of the moon near his horns that change appearance with that of the phases of the moon.

is it true?:
Wolfe is completely blind and has rescued a few wolf pups that seem to enjoy bringing him treats in the form of hunted prey as a thanks. His celestial magick allows him to see into the future on full moons only. He prefers not to share this and keeps to himself mostly.


His moon orb does however change to show the phases of the moon - sort of acting like a timer to when he will need to hole himself up for his next set of future visions.

They conspired to be together again, and threw Night down from the celestial world to the terra firma. Now dawn and dusk are happily wed, but they say the moon misses night, and gently wraps them in her light. We have never know the night. But scripture says it was frightening. The Fae say they miss the stars."
