Why: So this is actually one of my wishlist snakes (although I would probably get a burm if I ever had a BIG snake since they're generally more calm lol) and I have always said if I get one I'm naming it after Annebelle from my favorite childhood Christmas movie Annabelle's wish. Which is about a calf who wants to grow up to be a reindeer. So obviously when I saw what this girl is based on and that she is a mare, the name came right to mind!

Why: In an application for another adopt, I developed a character named Asherah as a river embodied by a motherly, nurturing energy. The character was a friend who only existed in the past; I enjoy the concept of reincarnation separated by species.. so maybe they'll be friends- or maybe not. shrug The name itself is one of the many mother goddesses: "lady of the sea" and/or queen of heaven.

Why: she reminds me of a an aesthetic, sweet dessert drink which made me think of boba tea which is sometimes called pearl tea and I know the name Pearl may seem basic but I feel it suits her even then I wanted to incorporate something snake-y as a name or (off the boba train of thought) something Taiwanese for her name but I just really like Pearl for her actually

Why: In Greek mythology, Calliope is the Muse of Epic Poetry, her harmonious voice inspiring artists and writers to craft eloquent, powerful words. I chose this name based on the following thought process: First, her design has an elegant, almost divine quality — soft colors, golden necklace quip, a luxuriously lush tail. Second, her markings instantly reminded me of the writer’s craft: a dark trail and spots against a sandy-cream backdrop, akin to a writer's ink leaving traces on a sheet of papyrus. Combine both, and you have Calliope — a divine figure inspiring the writers.
