One milliliter of ocean water can contain approximately 10 million viruses.
Most of these marine viruses infect phytoplankton and bacterial cells. This is thought to play a central role in the marine ecosystem, as large-scale viral infection may lead to the termination of algal blooms. Furthermore, infected phytoplankton may release toxins into the water, which is thought to have been a key factor in the 2014 Toledo Water Crisis.

Marine iguanas sneeze salt.
"As a sea reptile, much salt is ingested. The salt is filtered from their blood and then excreted by specialised cranial exocrine glands at the nostrils, expelled from the body in a process much like sneezing. The marine iguana's cranium has an unusually large nasal cavity compared to other iguanas, which is necessary to accommodate the large salt glands. The head may appear white from encrusted salt."

name; alleus
fact; A deeply obscure fact about unicorns lies in Renaissance alchemy, where unicorns were sometimes used as symbols in cryptic texts to represent the process of purification. Alchemists believed the unicorn symbolized the fusion of opposites, spiritual purity and primal instinct.

Have you heard about
the bloop? The bloop was ultra-low-frequency, high amplitude underwater sound detected in 1997 by the NOAA.There's uncertainty over the cause of the sound, with the most supported being that it was caused by ice calving (when ice chunks break off of a larger iceberg)
Just such a goofy term, so thought this'd be a fun one!

Unicorn horns were often used to make poison neutralizing goblets for nobles! (The horns were actually imported narwhal tusks.)

Did you know that there are FLUFFY CRABS living near thermal vents in coldest parts of the ocean? They're called Yeti Crabs and they were first discovered in 2005 in the South Pacific Ocean, so that's still quite the fresh news! Their habitable zone is rather small, so they have to pile up on themselves in order to stay alive. Now, what catches eyes is that their claws are furry - covered in light bristle like structures which makes them able to harvest bacteria which is their main source of food.
Now as a bonus, just look at this little floofer. c:

Kind of the ocean kind of a unicorn weβre going to talk about the kelpie. Both the unicorn and the kelpie are of Scottish origin and folktale. But where as the unicorn is over considered benevolent, kind, beautiful. The Kelpie is the polar opposite, ugly cousin of the unicorn, with kelpies having a much more sinister and yet important role. They were folktales created to protect children from wandering to close to the waters edge otherwise a kelpie would offer them a ride across the river but drown the victim instead. Theyβre one of my favoutie Scottish folk tales!
