Training

Postby Queen Vivane » Sat Dec 28, 2024 3:43 am

Posting her training her and in storage thread post!

Tier 1:
Erra and I first met when she was having the time of her life playing in a stream. Splashing away with a foreleg, clearly enjoying how the water splashed against her chest and legs. It wasn't too long before another few Equuiossa joined in the splashing antics, one even jumping right into the middle of the stream where the water was deeper. The first mare seemed to think that was a fantastic idea and eagerly splashed over to join the other Equuiossa. Her long ears would twitch every so often, the tufts of hair atop them waving gently in the breeze.

Her sheer joy at something as simple as splashing about in the water was infectious and I found I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her antics. Her scales glistened slightly in the afternoon sun and the feathering on her legs swayed gently in the current. I turned but not before quietly snapping a picture of the small group of Equuiossa all playing together in the water. The scaled mare had caught my attention and I slowly made my way back to where I could speak to someone about my intentions to adopt her.

Tier 2:
We'd arrived home in good time, something I was thankful for until the heavens opened and rain began to pour. Right as I was unloading Erra, though that didn't deter her or a particular cat that came out to wind its way around my ankles and Erras legs. She was thrilled by this and eagerly dipped her head to both thoroughly greet and investigate the cat. I allowed this to continue for a few moments as both animals were having a wonderful time but my clothes were getting a little too soggy for my liking. So I gently tried to have Erra move toward the nice dry barn.

"Come on we're not staying here all day just you can hang out with the cat" I sighed. With great reluctance, the Equuiossa slowly began to follow me though she perked up when the cat came running after us.

Tier 3:
I discovered Erra was territorial when another equine tried to enter her stall, I'd never seen her act in such a fierce way. Though perhaps she was only bothered about other equines entering her stall. After all, there had been several occasions where I'd been doing the morning or evening check and I'd seen multiple animals in her stall. She looked happy to show off a cat snoozing on her back and a kitten or two swiping at her hair.

The incidents of territorial behaviour were few but they did happen, several Equines chased away from her stall. And yet she always approached me with cautious body language, never hostile and never angry. No matter the weather and even if she had an animal visitor. At first she wouldn't accept touches on her head or neck, only scratches or gentle pats on her side or shoulders. That changed with time
