The clan had just established a new camp in the lower mountains. Everyone was strained. They didn't have enough food. They were working as hard as possible to survive in the new place. It seemed safe at first, but it didn't take long for them to realise cats weren't the only animals looking for a new home after the snowstorm hit.
The situation made it impossible for caretakers to exist. Everyone qualified became a hunter, medic, scout or helper of cats who held these roles. Kits who survived (which was like a miracle) had to grow up fast. Apprentices had the same duties as everyone else. It was hard. The youngest clan members had to learn everything just by observing older cats. Foxfall was one of them.
One day, he heard screams coming from the nursery. He ran to check on the kits. As soon as he stepped a paw in there, he froze in fear for a moment. A young fox has found its way inside and tried to steal the kits. The apprentice jumped on the predator and tried to force it to leave. The fox gave up. Luckily, it was tired and didn't want to fight. But the fearless cat didn't stop. He chased the fox outside the camp. The chase ended at a small cliff above the water. He kept coming towards the predator, forcing it to jump into the water. The fox ended up only hurt, but it never came near the camp again.

Prompt: Cliff earned his name when he was young. An enemy clan was attacking and he saw his sibling in danger on the cliffs they played on just that afternoon. Running up and jumping on the enemy, he caught them by surprise and was able to get a good grip with his teeth. But in the struggle, they both fell from the cliff. Cliff earned a few cuts and scrapes, but was mostly cushioned by the fall by the enemy who limped away claiming they were too much trouble. Climbing back up to check on his sibling, they took him to their healer and he earned his name.
