Why?: This song is unique, and I heavily relate to it. The unique thing about this song is that jack (the singer) never explicitly says the words 'I love you'. Yet, if you listen close you can most certainly tell it is a love song. Rio is the same way, they never say they love their someone explicitly, but you'll always know that they most certainly do. The lyrics express appreciation for their partner until the point their emotional, to me atleast.

melanie never considered herself an easy crier, but this song gets her every time.

the first time she heard it was after a breakup, in an old styled ice cream parlor. she still remembered her order: a triple scoop of neapolitan ice cream with an extra scoop of banana ice cream on top, drizzled in strawberry syrup, with slices of banana and bits of strawberries on the sides. as she sat in one of the booths waiting for her order, the song began to play on the loud speaker. to say she fell in love with the song was an understatement.

the lyrics, to her, sound super sweet. a song about how two lovers are meant to be... it touched her heart, and it made her yearn for someone who'd sing the song to her as they danced in a meadow. she ended up listening to it on her ipod and bawling on the way home.

now, happy together is one of melanie's favorite songs to play, and she'll listen to it often—even if it causes her to shed a few good tears!
