Name Explanation: I did a little Googling about the meaning of the parent's barn names, and found out that Fáfnir roughly translates from Old Norse to "the embracer," and Elaine is a French name meaning "ray of light/shining light." I was also inspired by the actual Germanic tale of Fáfnir, of a son whose greed leads him to kill his father to possess his treasure, which in turn causes Fáfnir to change into a wicked dragon. More familial betrayal ensues, so I wanted this trotter son of Fáfnir to be the foil to his father's crimes. The show name is a combination of the parent's show names plus the literal meanings behind their barn names, and the foal barn name Trygve means "true, or trustworthy."
