xx their parents had been wanderers of the land as well, introducing the twins to the life of a traveler from the very beginning. when the pair inevitably found their way to the clan, they put the herbal knowledge and medical skills their parents passed down to them to good use by becoming healers together. nightshade deciding to return to that lifestyle befuzzled ember in every way. they had settled into clan life together; why would he ever want to wander again? unattached and unbound, sure, but unprotected and uncared for. weren't they happy supporting the clan? healing others? that was what they were trained to do from the very moment they were brought into this world. why would he abandon her for the great unknown?
