not to use my own example xD but with learning how to crochet i really wanted to give up because it was difficult, but i persisted because i really wanted to be able to make something three-dimensional with my own hands and i hung in there and did it! >:3

I feel the desire to give up on things a lot XD, but most of the time I try to see it through! I had wanted to give up on some large artfight projects last year (the amount of cats was getting to me), but I persisted and got through it! And I'm glad for it!

For me, I began standing my ground when it comes to my nonbinary gender identity while still "appearing" as my assigned gender. I feel comfortable with how I look and I don't want to make any changes on behalf of another person who doesn't know me. I have since stopped yielding to social conventions and have begun to live as my authentic self.

TBH in almost every pursuit I've done there has been a point where I'm like 'maybe I should just quit, what's the point?' and then I kept sticking through it. The joy I get outweighs the bad.

I do a lot of online advocacy. It’s a struggle sometimes, especially when a meme will get more interactions than an education post. It’s like, “are people even listening? Are they really learning from me? Would it matter if I just stopped posting about this? What if people are just tired of me posting about the same things?” But I know the things I’m fighting for are really important in the long run so I continue to post about them anyway. I have had people tell me I am making a difference so that is encouraging <3
