Chicoon: Raindrop! (sorry that he is so small, working on moving him onto the official lines ^^')
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry: Story
Raindrop wasn't exactly a strong chicoon, in fact he was pretty meek. He was terrified that he would do something wrong or mess while pitching his tent, but finally just sucked it up and looked around. He didn't want to be too close to the water in case the tide came in to take him home and washed away his tent, plus the sand felt weird in his fur. He looked around again, spotting an area of dry grass not far from the beach! He honked happily and sauntered over to the grass, pitching his tent. He honked softly and flapped his wings before curling up in the sun.

Chicoon: Rosemary
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry: Story
"Well today's the day to get away for the summer" said Rosemary who already had a few bags already filled with camping equipment, she mostly looking forward to get it started and found a good spot to get set up. Luckly it was close to the camp but not too far away from the lake but being careful not to place it too close otherwise her camping equipment would get washed away, so she carefully unpack and got started. She spent the next hour unpacking & making sure that the tent was staying put without it falling down, after sometime and trial & error she managed to get it all set up and ready to go. She would unzip the front of her tent which looks basic and place in there her sleeping bag and the rest of her camping equipment, she then rezip her tent and then go and help any other chicoons out.

Eos found a lovely little space to put up his tent! A clearing in the woods with plenty of rocks to help keep the tent in place. With help from his pal Soot, the two managed to get it up and are now just relaxing the day away. :3

Chicoon: Marjorie
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry:
.....Marjorie had plenty of experience when it came to forest, she often came out in search of neat rocks in the steams and strange sticks covered in moss to craft with as well as the fact she simply enjoyed being out in nature. Camping in the forest however was a whole other story to her. Marjorie was always back home before sunset as the idea of staying in the woods while it was dark has always slightly terrified her. Perhaps she had read to many books about scary things that lived the dark, or strange creatures who called the forest home. Marjorie knew such fear was irrational though and was determined to overcome it, so here she was by herself, with no prior experience, reading the instructions on how to set up her tent for what seemed to be the hundredth time. At this point the only place her to sleep would be in the mangled pile of tarps, rods and rope in the middle of the large clearing she had found near the cliffside.
.....The weather was supposed to be nice with clear skies and mild breeze so how bad could it really be? The only problem was that night was quickly approaching and this darn tent refused to cooperate, instead causing nothing but frustration and slight regret that she had come alone and hadn't taken the time to learn how to properly set up a tent beforehand. With a sigh, Marjorie abandoned the instructions turned back to what was supposed to be a tent when a big gust of wind came and blew away the flimsy piece of paper known as the instructions. Marjorie chased them for a moment, but it was dangerous to run near the cliffside and the wind swiftly carried the paper away and out of sight.
.....With the sun quickly sinking below the horizon and nowhere sleep but a sleeping bag, Marjorie had nothing to do but admit defeat. Sleeping in the open shouldn't be that bad anyways. Instead, she got started on the campfire, something was actually good at so that at least she would get something done before dark.
.....Soon the sun was set and a fire crackling while Marjorie dug in her bag for some marshmallow as a little treat before bed, to annoyed to remember to be afraid. If she didn't get the luxury of a tent she would definitely be getting some fire roasted marshmallows. The stars looked spectacular and while Marjorie was admiring them, a falling star shot across the sky. Before Marjorie could even make a wish, another fell, and then another. They weren't falling stars, but a meteor shower. If had had managed to get the tent up she would probably have been peacefully sleeping right now and completely missing out on this rare and beautiful opportunity. For once she was actually glad things didn't work out the way she had planned. Next time she would be sure to be more prepared though, maybe even bring along a friend. Afterall you can't always be lucky.

Chicoon: kyto
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry:
"tents are boring..." the small chicoon whispered to himself, just quiet enough so that those around him currently setting up couldn't hear him, or so he hoped. kyto had chosen to ditch a tent, in part because he was awful at setting them up, opting inatead for a simple hammock. he'd found a large tree with sprawling branches, and had scrambled up the trunk to attach his bed far above the ground. he laid there now, using his tail to push against the bark and gently rock himself back and forth, glancing over the chicoons below him.

Chicoon: Mingo!
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry:
thisisntalovestory Mingo, who was sharing a campground with Yogurt, Staars, and JB, opted not to have a tent this year! He recently discovered how easy it was to hang a hammock from the trees and spent some well-earned C$ to purchase a 1 man hammock and some extra chording to hang it from! Although Yogurt seemed skeptical that it will work out in the end (the nights get cold this close to the ocean!) yogurt still set up an extra space of bedding for mingo, if for some reason it didn't work out! But Mingo- mingo wasn't going to sleep inside not when there was a sky full of stars and a forest full of trees! Chicoons were created to be in trees, of course that's why we are so good at climbing.
thisisntalovestory As soon as the five of them got to their designated campsite, mingo broke off from the rest to inspect the trees in the campground, testing each one to see if they were sturdy enough to work with his hammock. After quite a few trees mingo deemed unworthy he finally landed on a beautiful pair of trees with the perfect sized gap between them. Mingo climbed up the first tree, hopping his way up the rough bark like an excited squirrel, he got 12 feet off the ground when he realized he had forgotten the rope he needed to tie up, he called down to miles to throw him up a chord, Yogurt (who was busy setting up his own sleeping place) looked up, sighed, and stepped away from his tent to toss up the line that mingo had forgotten. Mingo missed the catch quite a few times, but manage to snatch it out of the air with a loud honk after only 5 tries! Yogurt chuckled then went back to work on his lodgings.
thisisntalovestory Mingo spun around the tree a few times, the finished the chord with a tight knot... he didn't really know what kind of knot to use, but a knot is a knot so he assumed it would be fine. He gave it a few tight yanks to make sure it was secure before he lifted his gaze to the other tree he wanted to tie it to. he smirked and crouched closer to the bark of his launchpad, then after a huff he lifted off and soared into the sky, the wind was euphoric as he flew towards the other tree, but it was quickly filled with dread as he started to fall, he hadn't jumped quite right and was definitely going to fall!
thisisntalovestory Mingo landed with a crash, but luckily something soft and feathery had softened his fall! Yogurt on the other hand, was not so grateful, Yogurt flapped his wings angrily, yelling at Mingo to get off of him, chanting and cursing at Mingo for falling right on yogurts hard work! Mingo apologized and got up, scrambling to try to fix his mistakes. But horror filled his eyes as he realized- when he had fallen, he snapped the main support pole for Yogurts tent! He dipped his head and apologized, still trying to put the port rag of a tent back together. Yogurt saw how bad Mingo felt and sighed, stepping closer and patting him on the shoulder, he smiled and accepted the apology on the conditions that he got to sleep in the hammock with Mingo since he didn't have a tent anymore. Mingos eyes went wide with tears and he weeped in agreement, of course yogurt could sleep in his hammock! it was plenty big since it was intended for humans! Yogurt thanked mingo as mingo apologized repeatedly, then the two of them looked to Mingos half-hung hammock and started laughing, they had a lot of work to do.

Chicoon: Miles
Setting up the Tents!
Show or tell us about your Chicoon setting up their tent! Where would they choose to pitch it?
Entry: Miles felt quite excited to be camping, he had spent hours preparing and packing everything he would need for this adventure! Now all he needed to do was find the perfect spot to set up his tent. Since arriving at the campsite, Miles had been looking around, trying to determine where would be the best place for him to pitch his tent. Everything was very beautiful, so he had no doubt that wherever he ended up, he would have an amazing view of the campground, but this knowledge did not help him with deciding where to set up. There was the forest, with lots of cool plants to look at, the beach with its comforting sound of water crashing along the shore, or right in the middle of camp with everyone else, a sure-fire way to make new friends. All of these places sounded great, full of exciting opportunities to see cool things and meet new people, so it was quite a difficult choice to make.
Nonetheless, Miles didn't want to spend all day just deciding where to pitch his tent! There were so many things to see and places to explore, he couldn't afford to spend too long being indecisive! Finally, he made up his mind and headed over to a spot at the edge of the campsite nearest the ocean. Noting that he could hear the sound of the ocean waves from this location, but was still close enough to be able to greet his campsite neighbors, he nodded to himself and began assembling his tent. This was a somewhat lengthier process than Miles had been expecting, since the wind kept blowing the tent over while he was in the process of setting it up, but Miles was the type to laugh it off and keep trying, so he wasn't too frustrated by the time he finally succeeded.
Miles looked around his chosen spot; it was a somewhat small area of the campsite, but plenty big enough for his tent with some space to wander around on all sides of it. Miles was more than happy to head to the main campfire when he was hungry rather than staying by his tent at mealtimes, so he didn't need any space to make his own. Besides, he would probably be spending the majority of his time here exploring and making friends, so he was not actually going to spend a ton of time at his tent anyway. Not that that meant the spot he set his tent up at was unimportant- he was sure that the sound of the waves would help him fall asleep quickly and easily at night.
Satisfied with his spot, Miles began to unpack the rest of his camping gear. It didn't take too long for him to set up his sleeping bag, some flashlights in easy reach in case he needed them when it got dark, and the various other items he had brought along. When everything was in place, Miles grabbed a few things he would need for hikes and such and put them back in his backpack, then zipped up his tent and wandered off towards the rest of the campsite in hopes of making some new friends!
Despite everything,

Heya, I'm Eevee!
Thank you so much to twinkle! for the adorable avatar!
It's still you.
