As a member of the demon race, Serenade was as cruel as they come, using her powers to break the hearts of mortals and drive wedges between them.

But something about Oriens, a fellow demon and defector from the legion, slowly changed her heart. He was unnaturally sympathetic and caring for one of his kind. Serenade somehow found herself enamored by this, and desired to follow his lead. The demon of heartbreak had soon fallen in love with the strange idealist. When the news of his treason came to light, and he was stripped of most of his power and doomed to be destroyed, Serenade risked everything to set him free into the mortal world.

Oriens was confused by this, still believing Serenade to be one of many against him. But he promised to return to her, to save her before they discover that she, too, committed treason for his sake. He doesn't know yet that she has feelings for him, but she swears to herself that when he finally comes back to free her from the legion, she will tell him. With a change of heart, she will use her power to bring people together, instead of drive them apart.

explanation - Amani used to be a good girl, some would even say that she was a little princess. She loved pinks and purples and the brightest of whites, and these colors reflected in her own markings and patterns. She even had a tail-shine in the shape of a heart. She treated her body as a temple, taking good care of herself so that when she became a mommy someday she would be fit and healthy, capable of raising her kits to be the best versions of themselves just as she was the best version of herself.

When she eventually got married, it was a dream come true, but try as she might, she couldn't have kits with her husband. It broke both of their hearts, and one day he divorced her, with the intention of starting a family with another. Suddenly everything that Amani had been planning for her entire life was gone in one fell swoop, and something broke inside of her that day. She no longer hummed as she worked, in fact she no longer worked at all. She began to scavenge and steal from others, gorging herself on ill-gotten food and even damaging property in the process. As her emotions turned to darker and darker places, so did her actions.

The strangest thing was that her looks began to change as well. Her tail-shine heart broke, and her markings turned an inky black. Her delicate pastel coloration was marred by tear stains, bones, upside-down crosses...

lysa has struggled in her life with various losses and mental health issues, and when things start to spiral downwards this song always makes her bounce back enough that things start to look a little better for her. it's not a cure but it definitely helps her spring back a bit. it's something about the message behind the lyrics, the message of strong personal strength no matter what life throws at you. it makes her heart feel full when nothing else does and a song that make her cry in the best of ways to let her emotions out. it's a deeply personal song to her.

bubbly , sweet, overly compassionate evangeline will do anything for her friends , even if they all think she's annoying and over bearing. the truth is eve hasn't always been lucky , especially not in her past... not everyone in her life has always been lovely to her. born as a bi-product of her demonic parents, her childhood was anything but lovely. in order to survive eve tried to keep herself happy by always being grateful for things she had.. even if she had nothing at all. now that she's escaped to the upper world (earth), she's practically incapable of being sad. people may see her as ditsy, ignorant, stupidly optimistic, evangeline doesn't mind. she is simply ecstatic to be alive and discover everything lovely on earth, she's so lucky to have made it out of the hell she lived through. {138}

They tend to put the song on to do many many things and they play it so often every time their friends hear it they think she’s on her way! Mika gets really hyper and tends to get hyper focused when this song is played, she can get so much song so fast with the song. Entire dorm needed to be cleaned up? Slap on the song and boom, clean dorm in less than two hours! Mika was quite the creative little kal, excitedly getting a lot of painting and sculpting when the time was right, and of course her song was on as she could make so much more with it on.

Extras: Mika is a collage student, she hangs out in the art room. She helps out there and well tends to help keep the other students happy and on task.

syrup shows you what they want you to see. the syrup they show the world is tough, spunky, with no patience for matters they deem a waste of time. they seem like the sort of kalon you’d never want to get on the bad side of. they’re loud and fun and playful if you’re on their good side, and if you’re on their bad side? you don’t want to know.

but that’s not who syrup is on the inside. on the inside, they’re soft, caring. they hate scaring people and yearn to show the world kindness, but kindness will always be mistaken for weakness, and they can’t afford that. still, the true syrup and the persona of themselves they created to keep themselves safe are almost always at war with each other.

if i find a way to change, if i step into the light, then i’ll never be the same, and it all will fade to white
