(yes, i am whale obsessed). this guy is so cool because it's an extinct species of sperm whale that was an apex predator. they often competed with Megalodon's for territory and prey!! only in 2008 was a Livyatan's skull discovered off the coast of peru and was dated to be 5.6 million years old. i highly, highly recommend reading this national geographic article about them! under-rated ICONS

Lots of people don't know that the Cera is highly speculated to be semi-aquatic! It had a strong, broad, deep, flexible tail, and a body ideal for lurking in waters. It was an excellent swimmer, and many scientists think that it lurked in the bodies of rivers with the top of it's head peeking out like modern day alligators and crocodiles.
