Ravi held the needle close to his eyes as he carefully thread the white string though the small opening at the end. After a few missed aims the thread finally slid through the hole and out the other end. Tying a small knot at the end of the string with great concentration, a gleeful smile lit up his face as he finished, a great feat it was to thread a needle and then tie a knot with his less than ample vision. Taking the needle in hand he sat down at his little wooden desk. Scanning through the mess of scraggly material he eyed a bright yellow piece. His eyes lit up as he pushed the other pieces of material aside, grasping it in his hand. He held the material at eye level, giving it a quick once over before nodding to himself.

Ravi snipped the material down the centre and then put the two identical pieces together. He carefully traced a pattern on the yellow material before snipping around the outline with his scissors. His cutting was a little wobbly but adequate enough for the job at hand. Bringing his freshly threaded needle together with his material he began carefully stitching along the outside, leaving a slight space around the edge. Ravi’s chubby fingers proved quite the problem, giving a yelp as he pricked his finger for the umpteenth time. Finally he finished stitching right around the piece of fabric giving a satisfied smile as he held the star shaped material. Preparing to turn it inside out before stuffing his smile froze… he had sewn over the hole. Giving a long sign he got his unpiker and unpicked until a small opening was left. Turning it inside out he stuffed it full of fluff then sewed the small opening shut.

Looking at his masterpiece he scrambled to his brother showing his finished pillow. His brother turned to look at it, straight faced and in a very cold voice he said “Good job”, while giving him a pat on the head. From an outsider's point of view the pillow Ravi showed his brother couldn't be mentioned in the same word as a star shape, it would be more honest to describe it as a dumbo octopus with some missing legs. Nevertheless Ravi was proud of his creation and his brother was blind when it came to anything regarding art and the fact he wasn’t told it was meant to be a star, he didn't see anything wrong. Anyway Ravi knew practice makes perfect so eventually he'll be able to make the best star pillow ever because his number one passion was sewing!

Ever since they were young, they had a fascination with cooking and baking. Cookies, steak, Mac and cheese, cake, you name it, they would be willing to try and make it for you, and the more of a challenge you gave them, the more excited they would get. At the moment they’re selling the food they make to try and save up enough money to get an apprenticeship under a chef, and maybe someday own their own business.
Although it might be a silly and impossible dream to have, Reese will stop at nothing to achieve it, and they know that their friends will be cheering them on the whole way.

collecting beanie babies! as a kid, chloe's mom always was on the hunt for beanie babies
whenever they went out together. whether they were going to their local mega-mart or just at a mom-and-pop thrift
shop, her mom always had a catalog on her trying to hunt for what she was told was "rare" and "valuable". chloe,
on the other hand, just loved how dang cute they were! as a baby, they were given happy the hippo, since their mom
accidentally bought an extra and thought it might give them good luck and happiness. seeing that chloe never failed
to be happy when she was with happy the hippo, that seemed to work out pretty well! as chloe got older, they decided
to follow in her mom's footsteps. the first beanie baby chloe bought was valentino, and they still to this day hold valentino
and happy very close to their heart to this day! chloe greatly cherishes the time they got to spend with their mom
collecting beanie babies, vowing to continue to expand their collection long after their mom was no longer around to
collect beanie babies with them.

“chaos, it’s time,” a voice whispered over the walkie talkie. “the victim has left their home, and it’s time for the magic to happen.”

“right on it, garden,” loki whispered back. grabbing what they always hold with high regards and passionately, their trusty lock picking kit. then, putting on a fledging scout vest finished off to pull off their disguise. “i got my goods, and you?”

“got them myself too, and i’ll see you at 12 beeswax mindly street and apartment 238945 then?” the voice responded. heading out and down the fire escape, loki rounded the corner then some more to see their partner in crime tabby by the door. behind him was wagon with some fledging scout cookies on top but something that they needed underneath for the apartment 238945. they’ve been here before to scout out the place by placing orders for fledging scout cookies, so they were expected. nodding to each other, tabby pushed apartment 238944’s intercom button. it ring and the owner answered, “yes?”

“we’re the fledging scouts from troop 00000 that you ordered twenty thick mints and ten dark fudge cookies from two weeks ago,” tabby answered. “and, we have deliveries for other apartments too!”

“come right up then!” and just like that, the door unlocked and the duo went in. they boarded the elevator and went up to the apartment. stopping by apartment 238944, they gave the order to the owner who took it without knowing what heist was going to happen. loki automatically took position and started to unlock the door with their lock picking kit. and, like that, the door was opened and tabby went in there with the wagon, uncovering it to reveal the goods and them being plants. “ready to go!” tabby said and took his place on a couch. closing the door and locking it, this is exactly what loki was passionate about being able to use their lock picking skills to break into apartments to spread the magical world of gardening!

to be fair, it is very illegal and they may get in trouble, but what can you expect from a kit named after the trickster god. it has this exciting thrill to it which pays off with excellent stories on tabby’s part. the stories typically range from confusion to acceptance to complete horror in reaction to two kits breaking into your home share the wonders of gardening. however, it’s mainly the lock picking that has loki hooked. it’s the complexity that is challenging that makes them think. each door is very different and requires a differing movements of the tools to get each and every pin pushed up. over time it has become more of a puzzle than a challenge, but it still keeps them hooked with the surprises. so, yes, it may be very illegal and they know it, but it is something that loki just so passionate about and never wants to give up.

oh that's so cool! i was actually inspired to write my entry because my mom collected beanie babies too, and valentino was always one that stood out to me especially since i was given one of him like.. 4 times? i don't know where my mom's hoard is but i'm sure i'll have them someday too! ^^
i guess its kind of a universal experience for moms to have collected beanie babies/have been caught up in the hype? :0
