Lambicorn name: mortimer
Gender: male
Prompt:
what a drag. that's the first thing that came to mortimer's mind as he watched the party-goers mingle, drifting and dancing all around him. it was rude to phase through someone without asking, too, mortimer thought. these people were certainly very ungracious folks. mortimer floated over to take a seat on his couch and took a seat, or... as much of a seat as a ghost could take, and he exhaled a thoughtful sigh of blue smoke. what a drag indeed. was this how most ghost felt, after having the misfortune of passing away at their own birthday party? doomed to wear the clothes he died in forever, the silly birthday hat and the unopened gifts came with him into the afterlife as reminders of his misfortune. and now these people were celebrating a party in front of his eyes without so much as inviting him? that was some nerve.
it was his house, after all. or it had been, when he was alive. now that he'd died, he supposed someone else had rented the space, but... he still thought of it as his house, and he had nowhere else to go... so he started to haunt the place for lack of better stuff to do. usually he spent his time fixing the stupid things the new tenants did-- for instance, the roof had a habit of leaking on rainy days unless you strategically put buckets and glasses under it, or the doors wouldn't latch if they weren't pushed at just the right angle, or the neighborhood stray cat who relied on mortimer in life to feed them, who still regularly came to the house's yard. there were little things mortimer tended to. he'd find lost keys, keep pots from boiling over, and keep the house in order...
and this was the thanks he got? not even invited to their party? mortimer pouted, exhaling another stubborn puff of blue smoke.
that is, until he noticed something.
there was a single box set on the table that hadn't been claimed by the tenant whose birthday it was. he floated over to get a better look at it, squinting, leaning in close. the tag read... mortimer? he glanced around the room-- no one saw him, but... maybe he'd been noticed afterall? the ghost tentatively unwrapped the package, pulling loose the ribbon and opening up the box to find-- a notebook and a pen? he picked it up, unaware of the eyes of the party-goers on him as he did so. they only saw a floating notebook-- and knew it was the infamous house ghost who they'd discovered was named mortimer.
the first page read-- "Hello Mortimer! We just moved into this house, and we know you're here too. We'd like to learn more about you! Please use this journal to write a bit about yourself so we can get to know each other."
mortimer was confused, but... honestly touched. he hadn't been forgotten, after all...

Lambicorn name: Elliot
Gender: Male
Prompt:
Truth was, Elliot lived a VERY boring, safe life. When he died, he had many regrets, and many things he wished he could do. So he finds in his afterlife he is the Ghost of Regret. But rather than inspiring regret in others or showing up when folks have the most of it in their systems, he tries to prevent others from falling down the same roads he did. He wants people to find their excitement, their fun, their thrills!
As for this party? Well, there are SO many who want to get out and dance, want to socialize, want to give a gift or be notice. So Elliot tries his best to inspire them to go for it, live each day to the fullest, and don't become another ghost of regret! Come on, he even brought a gift for you to give!
