I paused as she turned around in surprise but I didn't stop there, "So I took the elevator to the second floor, walked down the hall and then I knocked apon a door. She opened up and I asked about the things I've been hearing, she said, 'I think you ears are playing tricks on you' sweater zipped up to her chin. 'Thanks for caring sir but I have to go back in. Wish I could tell you 'bout the noise but I didn't hear a thing.' She said it must've been the wind, must've been the wind. So I was laying on the floor cold concrete on my back, didn't want to intrude when I knew I didn't have all the facts, but I couldn't bare the thought of leaving-" Ivy jumped down from her tree and continued, "Her.
