after the tribe survived their move from their old home to their new home in the mountains, and lost many of its members, Pine was one of the only cats that still had hope for their future. she had always been an optimistic cat, and stayed strong no matter what the world threw at her. whenever anything good happened, she was always the first to celebrate it, no matter how small it was. she introduced the tribe's tradition of staying up late and sleeping together in their cave clearing after large battles or big events as a way of celebrating. since the cake is something that is traditionally used during important events and celebrations (such as wedding and christmas), i think that she is almost like it, being the centre of the tribe's traditions and celebrations.
