"don't worry though black, together we'll keep the lights on."

sent up into space on the skeld along with a group of young eager scientists, flannery's mission was simple - take over the ship and eliminate anyone who gets in the way. flannery and his fellow "imposter" would be well paid (and protected from any legal troubles). it was easy in theory, but in reality it was a lot harder.

after a few days of life on the skeld, flannery had to make the first move. he followed one of the other crewmates, black, into electrical. they shuffled in close together, working on the small box of wires that were powering the ship's lighting system.

"pass me the blue one over there."

black's voice interrupted flannery's thoughts. flannery used his paw to hand one end of a blue wire over to black, who smiled lightly.

"thanks. wouldn't want the lights to go out on us."

flannery smiled back. "yeah, that would be a pain. don't worry though black, together we'll keep the lights on."

black exhaled lightly from their nose. grinning softly, they turned from the wires, most likely to head to their next task.
flannery quickly pulled out a knife to sabotage the wires, shutting the lights off in the room.

"red?"

black turned back, and shuffled toward flannery blindly, unaware of the fate they would meet.

Define worst? Worst as in how it effected those around him, or worst as in just how bad and stupid of a lie that clearly no one is buying?
Well, in Brayden's case it was the latter.

You see Brayden lied about where he was and what he was doing on March 17th, which he thought was a Tuesday, but was in fact a Wednesday, digging him further in trouble with the police.
Yes, Brayden was questioned by the police about a suspicious murder that occurred in the warehouse that he worked in.

Brayden dug himself a deep grave with the lie he told the police, and it went like this:

"On the night of March 17th? I was walking my dog at the.. zoo! Yes, the zoo, and we saw the new elephant exhibit, it was spectacular.
After that I went to my sister's and ate tacos as it’s our weekly taco Tuesday night, and I never miss that.
After that at 10pm I was back home watering my.. cactus?
I then went to bed at 11pm, I'm completely innocent!!"

You see, Brayden doesn't have a dog nor a sister, it wasn't a Tuesday but he did eat tacos, zoo's are closed at night and the new elephant exhibit is still under construction, and Brayden played video games until 3am instead of going to bed.

He was then arrested for three days under suspicion of murder, until his roommate told the police what really happened, giving Brayden an actual alibi.
He was released and the police caught the real criminal, but the police still have their eye on Brayden as they still don't trust him.
