(Ooc: Thank you for the understanding, it is very very much appreciated ^^'
Also, welcome WitchHazel! Yeah, I love D&D too ^v^)

"Hmmm..." he hummed to himself as he tentatively walked through the gate, "What do you think, El..? Finni? What next?"
The two other Hellunds looked up at Jon silently for a moment before Affinity turned and trotted down the path towards the mansion. Elegance slowly turned in the direction she had headed and glanced back at Jon again.
"Yeah?" he asked, "That way? Alrighty then, let's check it out then."
As he walked, he glanced around, seeing if he could catch a glimpse of their original friend who let them in.

Claire Darkmoor
|22|Female|Location - The Gate|Tags - Jon|

Roll - 1 (Ah yes... I am the queen of nat 1s.)

Claire pulled out the invitation, reading it over quickly once more before stuffing it back into her backpack. "Seems like the right house..." she muttered to herself, noting all of the hellunds on the other side of the gate. She pulled out small leather pouch filled with treats, shrugging her backpack back over her shoulders afterwards.
"Hopefully my father told them I'd be attending in his place," she thought aloud. He had initially received the letter, but had been too busy to attend. He's always busy, Claire mentally remarked, scowling. Even too busy for his own daughter. Turning her thoughts away from resentment, she started walking up to the large metal gate. Someone was already there, she realised, slightly surprised. She scoffed at herself for being surprised - of course there were going to be other people here; what was she thinking?
Shaking her head briefly, she closed the distance between herself and the gate.
"Hello there!" Claire greeted both the man and his hellunds with a short wave. She noticed that he had put his treat bag on the ground close to the gate, so she bent down to do the same, admiring the gate's elaborate metalwork.

From somewhere among the perfectly manicured and sculpted bushes, a rather large purple and gold hellund appears almost suddenly and approaches you with an odd bark. The sound doesn't seem unfriendly, but seems to have a bit of a warning tone to it. Though it may have seemed initially a warning to you, the slowly closing gate seems to freeze in place after the bark, suggesting that it was somehow set up to obey the hellund. Strange, but this place resonates of magic, so not unfathomable. The hellund looks at the treats you lay down before looking back up at you and wagging it's furless tail. With a tentative sniff, the hellund accepts the treats and moves aside to allow you entry.

Claire quickly pulled out her notepad, jotting down how the gate reacted to the hellund's bark. I'll have to ask about how that works later, she mentally remarked. She slipped through the gate, giving the purple and gold hellund a rather silly-looking salute as she passed it. She quickened her pace to catch up with the middle-aged man and his hellunds who had entered before her.
"Cool place, right?" she greeted him, gesturing to the grounds around them.

((Might need to make it more apparent who you're talking to? I think we're waiting on Jon to respond, am I right?

Also, both of you, don't forget to start on your MYO designs!))

Jon turned back around, and saw his friend from earlier helping out a newcomer, who, he just realized, had spoken to him.
"Oh, hi!" he said, waving his hand in a friendly manner.
Immediately, Affinity trotted over to the young woman to sniff at her feet, waving her tail excitedly.
"Uh, its alright, she's friendly." he said, not sure if he was talking to his hellund or the newcomer, "Her name's Affinity, though I just call her Finni usually. Oh, and my name's Jon. What's yours?"

(All good lol)

Claire Darkmoor
|22|Female|Location - The Path|Tags - Jon|

"Nice to meet you!" the young woman chirped. "I'm Claire." She purposely neglected to state her surname - due to her father's own wealth and status it could be easily recognisable. She'd rather not go through the awkward 'oh, Darkmoor? As in the Darkmoor family?' again. Hopefully Jon wouldn't ask. Turning her attention to the hellund sniffing her, Claire held out a hand, palm facing inwards - standard protocol when meeting dogs or other animals. Though she was well aware that a hellund wasn't necessarily a regular animal, she figured it was still best to err on the side of caution when it came to the magnificent creatures. "Hello Finni," she murmured, admiring the hellund's bright colours.

((Not a problem! Don't forget to work on your MYO entries as well!))

The purple and gold hellund trotted ahead of them, up the path towards the main house, checking back at the two humans were still following them. The path twisted and turned through the large garden, with forks splitting off here and there to odd, dark corners of the garden. A few hellund yips and howls sound over the expanse of the grounds, likely from them playing and romping together, but also giving the fading light of the sunset an eerie feeling. Approaching the fabulously enormous main estate, the dark red brick building looms overhead above and around the large, ancient looking double doors of the main entrance. The purple and gold hellund sits beside the right door and howls one, long happy howl, setting the other hellunds into a cascade of howls. As the last howl ceases, the two large doors swing slowly open, revealing an immaculately clean and oddly dark parlor full of plants, large and small cages, ornate wooden furniture and a black marble floor with gleaming sparkles running through the tiles.

The rainbow headed Hellund sniffed again a moment before nuzzling the side of her head into the young woman's palm. Jon grinned.
"See? Told you." he said, obviously delighted by his hellund's behavior.
Not a moment later, his hissed out a breath just as another hellund, this one having bright green markings and an almost bloody looking muzzle, leaped onto Claire's back as she bent over towards Finni.
"Ob-ses-sion!" Jon said, frowning and looking obviously concerned, though his tone of voice was not really very harsh, "That is not appropriate behavior. Please get down, now."
The frisky hellund had, as Jon was speaking, already leaped back down. He yipped in what looked like a laugh, and then fled off among the other hellunds, disappearing into the dusk. Jon sighed.
"I'm sor..." he began, but was cut off as the din of all the hellunds around them rose into the air. To his surprise, his own pack lifted up their muzzles and joined in as well.
It was only then that Jon noticed their gold and purple friend at the doors and watched them swing open dramatically. He caught his breath as he watched, wide-eyed.
"Um..." he began, completely forgetting what had happened before, and now looking a bit intimidated, "I... I guess we go in... now..?"
He was half asking Claire, and half asking their hellund guide.

Edit: Aaah, forgot the dice rolls! D: 11 & 72 respectively ^^

Claire continued to stroke Finni as the brightly-coloured hellund nuzzled her. When Obsession jumped on top of her, she couldn't help but laugh. She waved off Jon's half-apology, though her face grew suddenly serious as the hellunds started to howl. Claire watched wide-eyed with curiosity as the doors to the house opened. "Man, that's spooky," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else. "Gonna have to ask them how they did that later." Catching a glimpse of the inside, her curiosity only grew even further. "Wow," she breathed, taking in what she could see in the darkness. "This place is SO much cleaner than my dad's house." Her incessant need to know more got the better of her; she stepped inside without warning. "Check out all these plants! I wonder if they're all different species... OOH! What are these cages for!? Whoa, check out the detail on the furniture! AND OH MY GOSH THE FLOOR IS SPARKLY." Claire flitted about the parlor, babbling excitedly to anyone who could hear.
