okay so this is just a small thing BUT it made me v happy and it made me laugh a lot so here u go:
so one of my cats, iggy (or tbh we call him baby cat more often than not bc we raised him from a week old), is very much a "tree cat" - he loves to be up high. he will climb doorframes (which, let me tell you, is terrifying at 2am when you come out of the bathroom in the dark and there's a cat eye-level with you all of a sudden), he likes to get on top of the couches, he'll climb the top of the shower doors (while you're showering if you forget to make him leave), and he insists on getting onto the counters even tho we are not a fan of that.
well, one day i was on my mom's bed watching netflix with her on her laptop. she has a wooden headboard that curves down and back up again (will nab a pic of it to add here so u understand what im talking about). baby cat decided to jump up onto the headboard and he was walking around but he must have lost his footing bc a few minutes later he slides down the curve of the headboard, on his back, and slides off of the headboard altogether.
he just plopped to the floor and he was fine, but it looked like something out of a cartoon and we laughed about it for ages

I cannot sit here and not talk about the way I met my little disaster.
I remember it was around mid-August of last year; my aunt and my sister had walked to the gas station a few buildings away from the house to pick up an order we had made over the phone for dinner. I had stayed behind to make sure the beagles were let into the house with no trouble, and when they had returned they had a small black in white kitten with them. My aunt had saw him skittering around the gas station, trying to get inside I assume for some shelter and hopefully food. The poor thing was scraggy and skinny at best- but we were unsure if we should let him inside the house before we asked our uncle, so we set him up a small little bed in our garage for him to sleep in for the night. It wasn't until the afternoon of the next day that we decided that we should let him in- the feral cat population where I live is horrendous, and seeming as that the kitten was friendly we knew it was important that we at least take him in and see if we can find a home for him, rather than allow him to become just another stray and damage the bird populations.
We set up a small post on Facebook, and we had a few people interested, however that little nerd wiggled through the crack of my heart faster than anything had before- and I hadn't the heart to give him up. So, I scheduled a vet visit that Thursday, put him on flea and worm meds, and not even a year later, he's a 13 pound goofball who I wouldn't trade the world for <3
Winner! What a beautiful story, It makes me so happy to hear when an animal has found a home<3
