Training Level 4 Step 2/3
For a week now I've been working on gettin Sunrise used to new props. Props from tarps, poles for jumps, buckets, exercise ball, small pool, to even a trailer all in the arena different days through out the past week. The easiest part the pool. Matter of fact, I couldn't even get her full attention back each time we had gone over or even near the water pool. She seemed to not mind the trailer much. She was afraid of the exercise ball at first but then began to play with it. Today we've mainly focused on getting her to pass by the water and not letting it become a distraction but that had seemed to be a challenge. So I had began to use meat to reward her each time she had passed and not looked at it and kept her busy. I've also started working on moving the tarp around her and even over her. She panicked and ran off the first couple times. Once almost kicking me, but luckily I had already fallen on the ground just before her legs swung over me. After a couple hours of training, I walked the tired mare back to her paddock so that she could relax and regain stamina for tomorrow's training!

Training Level 4 Step 3/3
I set up the arena with some new things from around the ranch that Sunrise is either still afraid of or has never seen yet. That being a wheel barrow, a leaf blower that a staff be using, a couple different stools, a few different lawn chairs, saddles, and some other props. I went to collect Sunrise and walked her to the arena. I walked her up to the arena then unbuckled her lead from her halter and let her loose into the arena. I shut the gate then watched her explore all of the new things for ten minutes before I finally had gone in to walk her around everything myself. A couple staff entered the arena to help handle props. While working on getting her used to props, I had been working on cues, and even some tricks. After two hours of training, I hosed Sunrise off before releasing her into her paddock. Sunrise loves baths so much. After I had finished bathing her, she gave me a bath as well. I she shook the water off right next to me and I was nearly soaked. I now smell like wet Galingale Striders, but that's my new life as a ranch and adoption center for these big bird like equines. I walked Sunrise to her paddock and watched her roll around and get all muddy after being rinsed off.
