Metallic hooves gleamed in the late evening sun as the mare slowly picked her way through the battered and broken city, ears swiveling this way and that. Always listening for any sign of danger, trying her best to keep her long mane and tail off of the filthy surfaces beneath her hooves. An eerie cry brought her up short, nostrils flaring as the vile scent of something dark and very much dangerous assaulted her nose. Khanii pawed the ground with one glass hoof, snorting as something crept closer, a wicked high pitched noise escaping the thing that floated into view. It seemed like cloth come to life with an eerie mask for a face and spindly arms holding a pair of giant scissors.
It launched toward her, the sharp metal missing the mare by inches as she pirouetted out of the way, bursting into movement and making a run for one of the many alleyways that branched off the area she'd found herself in. Hoping in vain that the creature would not give chase. Her metallic hooves striking the concrete with a clatter as she galloped, frantically pushing herself to try and escape. All too soon she found herself with nowhere to run to and so the mare did what she could, turning and lashing out with her hooves in a fierce kick, the clash of metal on metal lringing in her ears. The only possible thing she could do to ease the pain the noise caused was press them flat against her skull. The blades rose preparing to strike her down when a streak of blue slammed into the creature sending it reeling with an angry shriek. Khanii's ears pricked back up in curiosity as delighted laughter echoed throughout the area.
"First the big bad kitty and now a pretty little pony!" The voice crowed sounding both amused and confused all at the same time, while a dark shape melted into view and lashed out at the creature with wicked claws. The blades blocked a few of the strikes but were eventually ripped away by claws and blasts of lightning, a male of the human variety sank something long and shiny into the white mask that Khanii had assumed was some sort of face. It simply faded like dust in the wind and the human blinked in surprise when Khanii nickered a quiet greeting at him.
"A horse all the way in the depths of this ruin? Odd" he breathed holding out hand, Khanii wandered forward and snuffled curiously at the mans palm, lipping his fingers in hopes of a treat. She made a noise of surprise as a weight settled on her back, turning Khanii caught sight of large bird unlike anything she'd ever seen perched on her back. Radient deep blue plumage and glittering golden eyes examined her.
"I'm telling ya" he began, "I ain't never seen a horse like this one" the bird offered, mandible like beak moving as he spoke, eyes never leaving Khanii who simply tossed her head in reponse. Fingers gently scratched behind one ear and the mare sighed deeply, brassy eyes falling half shut as he continued scratching the itch that had been plaguing her all day.
"And just what should we do with you, little wanderer?" He mused, laughing softly as she pressed her velvety muzzle into his face, blowing air across his pale skin. Khanii nuzzled him gently making soft noises as she did so, he felt surprisingly frail under her touch and she promised herself then and there that as long as he would have her by his side. She'd protect him as best she could
Personality:
An incredibly sweet but reckless mare. Khanii is the sort to find the good side in others and do her best to keep that little light in the dark alive and burning. She'll fight ferociously for those she loves and won't let anything stand in the way of making them happy. Kahnii possess unwavering loyalty
