prompt; The perfume of petrichor fills her senses as she exits her exquisite mansion into the pleasant air. “How refreshing,” She says. Dewdrops glitter on the flowers that recently bloomed in the garden below her balcony, and brilliant butterflies flutter about as she takes in the sight. She listens to the birdsong with a smile spread across her face, and sings softly back. Spring is her favorite because it is the time she feels the most charged. As color and life is restored to the once dead landscape, Nadine gets the best rest and has the most vivid, colorful dreams that result in a sense of peace and balance, or euneirophrenia, in her mind. However, Nadine would never get her paws dirty for her precious garden. Her gardener does that. All the mud and dirt is something that she doesn’t find so charming about the season.

Mystic has a love hate relationship with spring. On one paw, she is allergic to flowers, and the pollen produced from those flowers makes her head hurt, her eyes puffy, and her nose stuffy. On the other paw, spring is deadly gorgeous, the colors of the flowers and the greens of the grass and trees, makes for a very pleasant sight. Spring is also the rainy season, which makes life a little more bearable, basuse when it rains, the allergies don't act up and she can go outside and see the beautiful colors. However, if she does that, her fur gets wet, and she hates the feeling of damp fur. Some things are worth the unpleasantries though, like the view of the meadow in full bloom, or the look of roses when they have water on them. Her favorite thing, which makes spring worthwhile, is the look of sunflowers just after the rain. The bright yellows, and the added bonus of a rainbow overhead, makes her heart bound with joy, and she just can't help but beam from ear to ear.

Despite the number of seasons he has lived through, spring is always the season that leaves him in awe every time. Not only does the gradual warmth of the sun seep it's way into his surroundings, the flowers bloom underneath his feet, and calves are finally able to tumble into their first adventures. No longer does he find himself trudging through the long cold days alone as not even night is enough to silence the chirping of lively insects. These lifeforms have survived through the harsh winter, even the bud he had trampled over basks in the new opportunities for growth. Bustling around him are signs of life, yet when water begins to fall, it is almost as if life lulls and animals hesitate to make a noise in fear of angering the sky. Such a simple element, yet part of a few indicators of change on the horizon: rain ushers in both spring and the winter, a reminder that life is ever changing and often fickle. As he watches the fat raindrops hitting the foliage, Helios can't help but be soothed. Settling down to listen to the gentle pitter patter of the water, for him it's almost as if he's listening to the heartbeat of the earth.
