what's their attachment to space? ; he is the god of space.
"I'm not attached to space."
Felicity tilted her head in confusion. "I... My apologies, Garthol, but uh... Come again?" She heard a scoff from beside her and turned to see Euna shaking her head in amusement.
"He's not going to budge from his statement, little lamb," she said. "Garthol is a very stubborn one, you see."
"Stubborn my left foot," the tailless Keldine snarled. "I don't have any attachment to space. It is my domain, yes, but I am not attached to it by any means."
"Yet it is the domain you reside in," Euna quipped. "The one you've not left for centuries. Why is that, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Shut up you harlot!" Garthol barked. "I don't have to answer to the likes of you, filthy swamp maiden!"
Felicity quickly glanced over to Euna, expecting to see the Maiden of the Deep seething with rage, but if anything, she looked even more amused than before. She chuckled as she spoke, striding towards Garthol with long steps. "Always the immature one, even after your Ascent," she purred. "One would think he who used to be a mortal would be a bit more... Relaxed, if anything. What gives, Garthol? Why won't you tell us about your domain?"
The Space God growled and instead pushed past Euna, stalking towards Felicity with a look of utter disdain. "Why do you take her side?" he asked, but Felicity knew that even though he was staring directly at her, that this wasn't a question for her to answer. "She's a mere mortal! If anything, she's probably going to be the damnation of the Pantheon, once and for all!"
Felicity winced before she heard Euna's steps approach. The Maiden of the Deep rested a hand on Garthol's shoulder, whispering something into his ear - her tone wasn't harsh, more so calm and sincere, but Felicity could immediately sense that it was unnerving the male before her. Finally, he snapped.
"Alright, fine! I'll talk, I'll talk," he yipped in defeat, reeling back from Euna with a magnificent movement. "I never leave the Space Domain because... Because I'm scared."
"That's your attachment?" Felicity inquired, and she immediately drew back as Garthol shot a nasty glare her way. "I-I'm not judging by any means, I... I just..."
"I get what you mean," he sighed. "Despite being a god, I don't wish to partake in mortal affairs. Especially not after what happened with Ados, the damned fool." He glared at the floor, eyes darkening dangerously. Euna stepped in, placing a hand on his shoulder yet again.
"He was my friend too, Garthol," she said softly. "You ascended before him, I know how the story goes."
"Yes," he muttered, "and Ados's foolishness only fueled the fact that mortals cannot be trusted." He glared at Felicity yet again. "I don't know what Euna sees in you, mortal. Fear holds me back, but if it didn't... You wouldn't be here. I can guarantee you of that."
The taller female shuddered as Euna sighed. "We're probably not going to get much out of him, anyways," she said quietly. "Garthol, thank you for your time, but Felicity and I should probably get going. Isn't that right, pet?"
Garthol scoffed. "Fine. Good riddance to the both of you stupid fools."
