While he has an unarguably charming face, he doesn't let anyone touch him and makes sure to stay on the tips of his toes around strangers, literally.
While he might not be immediately open around strangers, or people in general, he tends to still stick to being obedient and dutiful. He'll help anyone carry their groceries inside and will huff in annoyance if a can falls out. While such minuscule tasks can cost him some of his day's time, he still commits to the little things.

Personality: Rex lives in a constant state of anxiety, whether it be undetectable or incontrovertible. He spends his waking hours pacing the enclosed areas of the property, on high alert for anything that could be considered a threat to his home. Every little noise makes his skin prickle, every little movement makes his heart race. Even at night, Rex only seems to be half asleep, desperate to protect those he cares about. This anxious behavior, as burdensome as it is, sets the dog at ease. Although feeling secure is of the utmost importance to him and difficult to achieve, it leaves the collie feeling content. As long as he can defend those he cares so deeply about, Rex would rather be the one to be stressed to his wit's end than to risk the safety of his handlers or fellow Beaumonts, even if they wouldn't return the favor.
