To be the achiever: his walnut eyes narrowed, focused in like a camera's lens, yet with a perfect stillness as to not forfeit his location camouflaged among the mud and earth. This moment is when he mentally "tags" his prey, typically a rabbit with ample speed to greatly outrace the dog, yet he'd like the challenge of finally catching one. The outpost back at home would perhaps think his pursuit of them pointless, instead sending packs of dogs to secure the larger and slower gains, but he was determined to catch at least one. He was far from the quickest nor the most silent hunter- he's nearly tripped on himself chasing after these flighty prey too many times. Yet, he still heads out in the mornings, bright and early when all the animals are sluggish, refining his strategies for that one day that he'll eventually bring home a rabbit.
