What does it take to wake them up?:
Bundled up in the warm blanket cocoon that was his bed, Roan was sleeping softly through the morning. Outside, however, the world was teeming with energy.

The birds were chirping, the river was flowing, and there was a pleasant warm breeze that was blowing through the valley. He stretched his paws over his head and rolled onto his side, shuffling to get into a more optimal sleeping position, until suddenly, breaking from the calm sounds of nature outside of his den, he heard that noise again.

A rattling, ringing noise that broke through the surrounding sound. Every morning this noise would wake him, but no matter how much he searched he could never find the source of it. From high and low on the hill around his den he would look, but none of his little expeditions would yield results.

He hated it. What if he never found the chance to sleep in again? He was beginning to lose hope that he'd locate it, but he was compelled to set out again. If not for him, then for his slumber. Plus, the chance to see the new charm he hung from the tree next to his den was always welcome...

What does it take to get them to sleep?:

Hannan claims that they're okay with the cold and that they don't mind it, but in reality they despise it. They constantly put their scarf and their favorite sweater in the dryer to keep themself warm. The kit takes turns with the scarf in the dryer and once it's out the sweater goes into the dryer. It takes up a lot of time and effort, so Hannan has created a little bed in the laundry room out of other warm clothes. The familiar scent of the detergent they use also puts them to sleep, and they only wake up when they hear the beeping of the dryer.

Since they're still a young kid, they spend a lot of time in the laundry room doing this routine and taking a lot of naps.

Caspar only sleeps if music is playing.
He's a huge nerd, so he's currently listening to the Undertale OST.

What does it take to get them to sleep?:
One two, routine started,
Bundled up in a cocoon of cotton,
Bound in blankets, trapped and teeming,
Volumes and tomes against the bed leaning,
Heated mug in hand snug,
Bushy head thrown back to chug.
Chalky milk of chocolate bubbling,
Vanilla cookies within crumbling,
Chunks floating abound,
Breathless noise to be found.

Three four, routine continuing,
Sparkles of dust in hues shimmering,
Residues of milk against his lips,
Mug caressed by water drips,
Uneasy creaking of a rusted faucet,
Stacked dishes left him exhausted.
Yawns with the shuffling of steps,
Worn patterned quilt he schleps
Around the halls, disturbed by moonlight,
Tufted owls' calls in flight.

Five six, routine's end,
Arms stretch and bend,
Crackling back, sore limbs,
Devoid of jitters, athletic whims
Tickling elastic fingertips,
Tension from the day's showmanships
Relieved finally in ten minutes' time.
Trickling scent of incenses of pine,
At last, he collapses into his nest at nine.

Yet it is only the beginning and the end,
Bouncing thoughts tend to lend
Himself to hide beneath the covers,
There's more to do as eager eye discovers
Pages of glossy wonders,
Words flow into words to captivate,
Little did he know that he was up so late.

[200/200 words]
