Jasmine rolled around in her bed, unable to sleep. She groaned, she had to get up early tomorrow. She got out of bed and went and sat on a bench outside, wrapped inside her cozy grey blanket. Jasper, the mayor, came and sat down next to her, "What are you doing out of bed so late?" he asked quietly. "I can't sleep." she muttered, annoyed. "Well, a trick that always helps me fall asleep," Jasper paused, "Well, is cuddling my teddy bear, Clyde." his cheeks flushed, embarresed. "Oh." Jasmine hung her head, knowing it wouldn't help. "No, really it helps!" Jasper reached into his back pocket and pulled out Clyde, "You can have him." she could see a small wince on his face. "Thank you." she took the bear and hugged it. Jasper smiled, "Now, you want to try sleeping again?" Jasmine nodded and got up, streched and thanked Jasper. "No problem, I'm the mayor after all." and then he left. She climbed into her bed and held tightly to Clyde. She awoke the next morning to her alarm clock ringing, why can't she ever sleep!?!?

Thank you everyone for entering. I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to write for this competition. I had quite a nice and relaxing time while reading over everything, ya'll have some really lovely ideas and I will likely use them myself sooner or later for the exact same reasons, minus nightmares. Due to this I had a little bit of difficulty judging. I ended up getting a bit of help from another staff member and we ended up going in circles haha, but I did come to a final decision.

Your writing is so lovely and works so nicely in with this character already!! I hope Finn gets their sleep and im excited to see you develop them in your town. He seems like such a sweetheart and believe this writing works nicely with the character I drew.
