Naveen actually likes Christmas! He loves the snow that falls around the grass, the lights that illuminate the trees and give them an unearthly glow. He's in such high spirits that he doesn't even bat an eye at the mistletoe tradition - no matter how much he detests it. But, if he could name one thing that he doesn't like, it would be the dress-ups. Naveen is okay with others wearing costumes, but come on! Costumes are for Halloween, not Christmas! This year was the first time he wore a costume, and he was practically forced into it! He was planning on staying in with a cup of cocoa, when he heard of the small party. There would be free slices of banana bread, and that was the frosting on the cake. He loves banana bread, so Naveen marched his way to the small party, only to see that one - it was not a small party at all, and two - it was a costume party. Of course, he went to turn himself right around, but was tackled by some party-goers, screaming about his 'coat' and how 'they had the perfect outfit'! Next thing Naveen knew, he was scowling, with some reindeer horns perched perfectly on his head. He didn't even get any banana bread.

After this epidemic, Naveen tried to return the costume, only he couldn't find the strangers who cornered him at the beginning of the party. He walked down a worn path, growling to himself about the costume, when he saw two pups walking down the same road. Their mother was right behind them, smiling as they chattered away. The smaller pup gasped when she saw Naveen, and practically screamed, "Reindeer! Mama, mama look - it's a reindeer! I bet it's one of Santapaws reindeer!"
Naveen had to chuckle at that, how cute was it for the smaller pups to think of him as an actual reindeer. They both ran up to him, the mother chuckling behind them. They pranced around Naveen, asking about the North Pole, the presents that he delivers and Sanatpaws. Naveen decided to humor them.
"He's busy delivering presents to all the pups tonight. I'm out on a secret mission - to make sure all of the little ones are in their dens and sleeping tight." He threw a wink at the mother.
The pups gasped, and nodded along, before shouting at their mother that they had to go to sleep. The trio bounded down the road, yelling their 'Good Night's' over their shoulders.
Naveen chuckled; maybe costumes weren't all bad.
