Gabriel actually lives in the desert, so the perfect Christmas gift for him is snow. He once lived in the distant lands of the arctic to study the survival of the polar bears, and he was eventually forced to move to Arizona to study more of the signs of global warming. It's become so hot, and the temperatures barely drop. Gabriel fears that this year he won't get a speck of snow, and that makes him incredibly sad. One of his favorite things about being in the arctic was the lovely snow that occasionally fell.

When there's no chance of snow on the weather reports, he makes his own "snow" within his own home. Gabriel rents a big snowmaker and puts it in his backyard, turning it on for 24 to 48 hours at a time. He invites the people around his neighborhood, especially the kids, to have snowball fights, make snowmen or snow angels, or sled on small hills they create.

“Okashi if you bump my arm one more time—“ Kanpai yelled, keeping his position. His left arm hovered over the gingerbread house with a gumdrop in between his forefinger and thumb. His right arm was resting on the table with a knife covered with frosting in his hand. Okashi sat to his left, sitting in a chair covered in specks of dried paint and long strips of tinsel. They were siblings, with Kanpai being the eldest and Okashi the youngest. Every year after Thanksgiving their mother gives them a do it yourself gingerbread house kit that they can bond over. Kanpai is always determined to see the project to the end while Okashi often gets bored and wanders off. Though, you can say she has been lasting longer as the years pass. “Sorry Pai, I’m trying not to,” Okashi responded with a toothy grin. She was the only thing keeping the house from caving in as Kanpai added the frosting. “Feels like we were just decorating last year’s gingerbread,” Okashi sighed. Kanpai, whose full attention was on placing the frosting in the right spot, nodded. “Do you feel that way Pai?” she asked impatiently. He nodded again. She tapped his shoulder with no response. When she lifted her arm to tap it again, Kanpai elbowed her hand. “Can I do something?” She asked with only a glare from him. Okashi, who was getting impatient, started a groan that she meant to last for too long, but cut off when a new idea popped into her head. “We should make a gingerbread village this year!” Okashi squealed. “We could make gingerbread people with their gingerbread dogs sitting by their gingerbread fireplaces.” She tapped each of her fingers every time she said gingerbread. Kanpai finally looked up from his creation. His nose shriveled at the idea, but his expression seemed to have accepted it after a few moments. “It’s certainly going to take awhile,” he finally muttered before going back to the gingerbread house. Okashi nodded. “But I bet we can do it!” Kanpai gave Okashi a scowl while she shifted the wall she was holding up in her excitement. “But first, we have to finish this one,” he said. “Oh man, I wish we didn’t eat last year’s gingerbread house,” she whined, looking out the window. Kanpai didn’t tell her about what the state of the house would of been if she had saved it. “Fine, go ask Mom if she can fetch us some gingerbread houses,” Kanpai said in a last desperate attempt to get his little sister off his back. Okashi jumped up eagerly and a faint smile grew on Kanpai’s face as he knew the wish of peace had arrived.

Ginger thoroughly enjoys the holiday for a number of reasons
For one he looks exactly like a gingerbread man, so it was like the holiday joy was literally baked into his heart.

But on a more serious note, he enjoys Christmas festivities and all. There's just something in the air when Christmas comes to town that makes him feel warm inside, from the twinkling light, to the stockings by the fire, there's not one thing he doesn't like about this holiday season.

And the many wonderful memories that light within his heart like an old fire being re-kindled. From the fresh smell of the Christmas tree to the Christmas carols to the presents under the tree, each is important just as his family.

But the number one thing that Ginger loves about this holiday season is the love and joy that ring through the air. And Ginger knows fully well that there are many who are less fortunate than many and can't afford a decent meal nor a tree
Or presents. That's why he likes to take a bit out of his Christmas day to make gift baskets for those in need.

Inside each basket is a bundle of candy cans a warm blanket, a small plush bear, a tiny plastic Christmas tree from the craft store, and a gift wrapped present, with on the last special touch a bag of fresh homemade iced gingerbread men cookies. And with these baskets he'll go around giving them to those in need, and on most occasions he'll do it in secret as to not destroy the magical wonder of Christmas.

For Ginger, that's the best way one can spend Christmas is by spreading joy and love and spending time with those you love.

Georgie simply loved winter. It truly was her favourite season. She liked so many things about it: the blankets, the food, the excuse to go shopping 'to buy presents"...

But most of all, she liked the storytelling.

She loved those old Christmas tales, the ones that her grandmother used to tell her when she was younger.

She remembered hopping around with a plate of gingerbread men and a frappuccino, munching on them while listening to her grandmother's wonderful stories. She remembered her grandmother telling her a story every day before bedtime, and how she'd always fall asleep before the story was finished. She remembered baking with her grandmother, always with a story to help pass the time while the pastries were baking.

Georgie did really miss her grandmother.

There was a Kalon who had a Christmas tradition, every Christmas morning they would wake up and get a glass of eggnog. They would then but on The Grinch and curl up under soft covers on their couch as they woke up from their slumber, sipping their eggnog happily. They had no family nor friends to spend their Christmas with, not because they weren't friendly but simply because they didn't live near any other Kalon's to be friends with. After watching their movie they then like to get up and play in the snow for as long as they desire, making snow angels and snow Kalon's. When they go inside they spend their day joyously singing Christmas songs and even shopping through-out the day as a little Christmas gift for themself.
By evening time they settle on their couch once more with a hearty dinner set out on their coffee table all for them. They set up skype on their large TV and eat dinner over video with their only friend who's way too far away to spend Christmas with. They stay up late afterwards baking cookies and dancing around their kitchen as happy as could be. When they finally settle to sleep after their long day full of cookies, they set up a little bed with blankets and pillows in front of a warm fire and their dimly lit Christmas tree, falling asleep to the sound of the crackling fire and Christmas songs quietly droning from a radio nearby.
