Is there a cool down between breedings? Like the same pair cant breed again for x amount of time or individually have a cool down time?

Great questions!
As for cool downs, no there are none, with the exception of newborn rittens having to wait two weeks after creation to be breedable. We're simply going by the honor system as far as assuming user's won't go wild posting multiple breeding after breeding or ask too much of our artists, but there are technically no specific rules in place for this.
As for retiring jacks, yes thats about how it works. Once a jack has used all ten of his breeding slots he becomes a gelding, and can no longer breed past that point. However, geldings do not count toward a users total Skepluvia limit, meaning once your jack is retired and unbreedable you can acquire another one even if you are at your limit for jacks.
