Prompt: her summer so far

(I'm going to keep her name, I think it suits her!)

Despite looking like she'd like nothing more than to spend the day outside, Syveus absolutely loathes the daytime. It's too hot for her on most days, especially in the Summer! She'd rather stay inside her little underground home and nap for a few hours (oh how she loves taking mid-day naps), but when the day starts to slow down and everything seems to come to a stand-still - she gets energized. Bouncing around her house, grabbing snacks and anything else to keep her company, she'll rush out the back door without looking back to venture out into the small forest.

When she gets far enough away from anyone else, where the chatter from other beings are no more than whispers in the back of her mind, she'll look up. In the sky, is the falling sun, tainting the sky with muted blues and melting purples, pinks, yellows, she could gaze at it for hours. All to soon, the sun goes down, and she keeps going. When she finally stops, it's to a small meadow, almost too small for anyone to take any notice to the blooming flowers. She would lie down, wiggle around and finally settle onto her back, looking up to the sky once more,

Stars. They were almost impossible to see if she was back home, all of the trees blocked her view - but out here, they were everywhere. Stars danced in the sky, chasing each other in an old game of tag, while the moon looked on. Syveus knew every name to every star, every constellation - and loved them with all of her being. If you're patient enough, and lay quiet and still, the fireflies will come out. They dance around the meadow, lighting up the drooping flowers. This was her favorite part, and how she spent most of her summer nights - dancing with the fireflies into the night.

Syveus' favorite flowers are gardenia's. She loves the sweet smell and how unique they look.

Prompt:

Syveus spent part of her summer seeing the sights.
She visited many antique stores down the coast, and stopped in the local taffy shop and bought a bag of their delicious saltwater taffy.
As sticky as taffy is, Syveus loved it.
It reminded her of when she was a child, when her grandmother would buy a bag of it for them to share.

One of Syveus's favorite things to do during a cool summer's day, was to stroll down the beach with her favorite sun hat and her grandmother's summer scarf.
She loved the feeling of the breeze through her fur, and it billowing her scarf behind her, just like in the movies.

Syveus also spent some of the hottest days playing Mario Kart and Minecraft with her best friend Aiden, where they had air conditioning to keep them comfortably cool.

You could say this summer seems pretty plain, or that it's ordinary, but it was perfect to Syveus.
But there was one thing that she had never done before; she was going to adopt a kitten.
(And if you've even owned a kitten before, you know how difficult it can be, or maybe you just got lucky, LOL >w<).
And the only reason she even adopted one was that she saw it in a box with a sign that read "adopt me".
How could she not, with those big starry eyes just begging her to take him home? She had always wanted a cat, but her mother never let her, and now that she lived on her own, here was this perfect opportunity.

Long story short, she had many wonderful summer days and many that were not so wonderful, but it was worth it. Syveus will continue to have the best time that she can, cause every day is a new memory, especially alongside her friends and new fur baby!
