Cat Name: Plumfrost
Clan: Beamclan
Rank: Nightrunner
Gender: Female
Age: 87 moons

Prompt: A mistake is something Plumfrost would never admit to, being too stubborn, her outer shell is one that no one could penetrate with words. During her time as a wanderer she traveled with a group of lone cats. Even from a young age she was calculating, rather "standoffish" as one would put when speaking of her in a social situation. She preferred work but knew others had smaller limits from hers. She lived near the city for a while, though preferred to not venture towards it due to the loud noises clouding her senses too easily. However she found a young cat there, a young cat with naive ideals that she considered weak. Originally Plum had half a mind to leave the kit there, half starved and without anyone in sight to care for her. Plumfrost turned away without an initial thought, but the kitten clumsily padded up beside her and she stopped for a moment to look. The life in her group was no life for one so young- but there was a spark of light in that hopeful gaze, something Plumfrost saw potential in. She asked the kit's name, and a weak reply came from the small molly beside her- "Rosie".

The dark molly didn't come from the city empty pawed, surely, but the addition of another mouth was one the group said they couldn't care for. Plum tried to reason that she would be useful, but they simply rejected her due to the large amount of cats already living there. Rosie was 3 moons, barely halfway able to take care of herself on her own, so Plum made a decision and another plea, "If I can train her and prove her useful, she can stay. If I cannot, I will leave her where I found her."

The cats in charge told her to wait for a reply, and as such Plum took to Rosie's side. The darker molly asked her simple questions, one in particular being "Where is your family". With that question she hesitated for a moment, before stating that her parents were gone from her life, that she was left where Plum found her a few days ago by her parents and that she hasn't seen them since. The likelyhood of Rosie's parents being alive was low to Plumfrost, and as such she told her that she will be taken care of from now on by herself or other members, she will make sure of that.

The next morning Plum's offer was accepted, and she immediately took responsibility for Rosie's care and training. Plum took her to the city every day and showed her how to find ways of reaching food or den supplies, as well as showing her the outer city areas that are safe to travel. As with most young cats, Rosie would forget these things easily, or get distracted, but tried her best. Plum didn't push things on her as she did herself, feeling an almost motherly care for the kit while they were together. The older molly often had to remind Rosie not to wander off, or had to turn to find the small cat quietly padding away after a sound or shadow. She thought Rosie would learn eventually, but unfortunately when Rosie ran into the city street after a butterfly, Plumfrost wasn't able to catch her fast enough. She tried to bring the kit back to the group, but she had died long before they reached it.
Plumfrost regrets not being harder on her, regrets her emotions getting the best of her. This is what she considers her biggest mistake. [600/600]

Cat Name: Nightfog
Clan: OwlClan
Rank: Loner (Ally? Is this allowed? Warrior, if not)
Gender: Tomcat
Age: 84 moons | 7 years old

Prompt:
Mistakes are not uncommon for the young and arrogant. As a new warrior, Nightfog had little fear in his life and a strong dedication to protecting the clan he served. However, he had not expected that StarClan would show him a great vision.
He had just settled down for the night, curling up in his nest and closing his eyes when something felt... Off. Opening his eyes and raising his head, he found himself just outside the camp to his clan. He frowned, confused, jumping when a cat with translucent, heavily scarred fur white as snow appeared, smirking with a gash on his neck dripped blood that never pooled on the ground. The cat grinned wickedly, turning his gaze back to the quiet camp, and Nightfog followed his gaze. He barely noticed a flicker of light inside the medicine cat’s den before a yowl pierced the air, and light exploded outward. He recoiled as the light took the shape of fire, roaring forward, and he saw the cat beside him laughing. He watched as himself and Moonwhisper scrambled out the entrance, kits held in both their jaws and a heavy mother barely keeping up behind.
His own shape turned back, slipping into the fire again, then appeared, dragging an unconscious BreezeStar with another warrior helping, and his perspective dizzily switched to a first-person view.
“Get back here!” Out of the corner of his eye, a figure leaped from the fog and lunged for him, making him let out a muffled yowl as he caught his hind left leg, leaving deep gouges. He turned to defend his leader and was slammed in the side, tumbling further away and managed to get atop the offender. Shock and disbelief froze him momentarily when he saw Darkstripe, a grumpy, older tabby who actively fought against most decisions that BreezeStar made. Feet shoved against his stomach, and he was flung, slamming into the ground. But as he closed his eyes against the pain and loss of breath, the roar faded suddenly.
In his surprise, he opened his eyes to find himself beside a great lake in a misty forest. A long-furred she-cat sat, touching without sinking, above the water in front of him. He scrambled to stand as he recognized her almost instantly: the Weaver. She did not speak, but a thrum in his bones filled his very bones. He was needed to help resolve this vision, he realized. But as he took a step forward into the water, the momentum of his body continued down, falling through.
Suddenly, he jolted awake, fur on his spine raised and tail fluffed, but he found himself questioning the dream. He was no medicine cat! He had his suspicions but it was unheard of for Warriors to receive dreams from the ancestors, much less the Gods!
He kept this dream a secret, holding it close to his chest, but when a light flickered in the camp one restless night, he dove for the medicine cave, tackling the offender Sparrowtail, the medicine cat, startled from her slumber at the yowl of surprise and found him bearing down on a confused and outraged Darkstripe, a stick with a smoldering ember nearby.
“Now, what in StarClan’s goin’ on here?!”
“He was trying to murder you!” Nightfog hissed. After some coaxing and BreezeStar being summoned, both were inclined to believe Nightfog’s explanation of the dream and how they were found by Sparrowtail. Darkstripe was exiled from the clan, but Nightfog feared to stay, lest Darkstripe comes back for revenge. He left the clan with only a goodbye to Moonwhisper.

Cat Name: Shadedmoon
Clan: Stormclan
Rank: warrior
Gender: Female
Age: 26 moons

Prompt:
Shadedmoon is fairly new to the clan, so she didn't understand the concept of the 9 lives of a leader yet, but she's glad she does now.

She and Wolfstar were in Wolfstar's den after Wolfstar called her there to discuss some things with Shadedmoon. Once they discussed all the causal duties of clan life, Wolfstar foolishly said it.
"Shadedmoon, I want you, Thistlespot and Dovecall to do an extra border patrol today. I know you've been doing them a lot lately, but we need to make sure our borders are properly protected. Got that?" Wolfstar flicks her ears at Shadedmoon, waiting for an answer to clarify that she got it.

Shadedmoon looked at the ground, rage starting to build. She had already done the border patrol not too long ago, as well as hunting. She was exhausted. But still, her leader wanted her to do even more for the clan? How dare she ask that? Shadedmoon was already trying as much as she possibly could to help and be there for her clan. Her fur starts to bristle as she gets even angrier.
Shadedmoon gets up from where she was lying down, aiming a slashing blow at her leader's shoulder.
"This is what you get for ordering me around all the time! Can't you see I'm exhausted, we all are!" She hissed at her leader.
Wolfstar, shocked, tried to get out of the way, but it was too late. The blow hit her head instead, knocking her unconscious and bleeding heavily.

Before she knew it, Wolfstar was in a starry forest. A black tom approached her. Stars seeming to glimmer through his pelt. He dips his head in greeting to her.
"Welcome Wolfstar, it seems as though you have lost your first life, and to a clan member, no less." He looks at the ground, saddened by this.
"She... She's a good warrior. She was just frustrated. I'm sure she didn't mean to kill me. She couldn't have? Right?" Wolfstar sounded confused and hurt that her own clanmate would attack her.
"Well, why don't I show you?" He offered, before giving her a vision of what Shadedmoon was up to at the present moment.

"No... It's all my fault..." Shadedmoon whispers, stifling a sob.
She was standing over her once leader's lifeless body. How limp and weak it now looked. Any evidence of her once being graceful and authoritative was now gone.
"I'm so sorry Wolfstar... Please forgive me..." She begins sobbing. She lies down, head on the orange body. Perhaps to keep the body warm and to keep the memory of her alive for just a little bit longer.

"I've seen enough. Please, take me back to her?" Wolfstar mews at the black tom, feeling heartbroken over the scene that she had just witnessed.
"If you wish, but you will have to figure out what to do with her. She can't be allowed to attack anyone like that again." He points out to her.
"Wait... I won't have to exile her, will I?" Wolfstar looks a little panicked at the thought of having to exile someone who didn't mean to do something and was truely sorry for their actions.
"You're the leader, it is your choice, Wolfstar." He nods at her.

Wolfstar opens her eyes. Her vision blurry but still returning.
"Wolfstar?!" Shadedmoon yowls in shock and gratitude that her leader is in fact still alive.
"I... I thought I killed you. I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry." She starts sobbing again.
"Now little one, it's okay. I know you didn't mean to." She reassuringly mews back. (600 words exactly)

Cat Name: Ghostdance
Clan: Oddclan (link in sig)
Rank: Warrior
Gender: Tom-cat
Age: 66 moons

Prompt:

Ghostdance twisted in a tight circle, a frown on his face as he was trapped once again in the memory of his biggest mistake. He let out a sigh as he he began to knead the ground beneath his feet. Sometimes, it almost made him want to run away, even with as much adoration and love as he felt for his clan. It really was a wonderful place, full of misfits and weirdos, overall the most accepting place he’d ever seen- they even took care of a dog, for Starclan’s sake! Yet, he absolutely believed that no place would ever feel more like home than here. But even so...

“Ghostdance, love, did you remember to get all of the twigs out of your fur? Oh you silly boy, you’ve got a tuft of fur sticking straight up on your head, here, let me lick it flat for you!”

As the other cat bounced forward upon finishing her statement in her deep and ethereal voice, Ghostdance couldn’t help but let out another exasperated sigh, and simply flopped down onto the ground beneath him, closing his eyes as he felt the tongue of the other glue his fur back into place. This overprotective and loving scene was not even close to uncommon- the medicine cat Wraithsong treated many like this, but none more than Ghostdance.

“Come on now, big brother, it’s time to go! Barkstar is going to be telling us more about little Whip!” -she accented her statement with a prod of her paw.

Groaning, Ghostdance rose to his paws and began to glide forward, fighting to keep from rolling his eyes as his clan mates snickered at the scene before them.
Really, he thought, this place is the best home I ever could’ve asked for. I wouldn’t leave it for anything. But... He didn’t pause in his step as he glanced at his sister, who was currently moving forward to pluck a twig from Whip’s tail. I shouldn’t have brought her with me. Biggest mistake of my life!

Yet even as he thought this, no one could deny the loving gleam in his eyes as he looked after her.

Cat Name: fallingleaf
Clan: twigclan
Rank: warrior
Gender: female
Age: 15 moons

Prompt: wip
fallingleaf's biggest mistake was falling for a cat in a different clan.

it was 2 moons after her warrior ceremoany, fllingleaf was hunting alone in the forest. she heard a noise and saw a bush begin to shake. she looked around when suddenly a cat jumped out. the cat turned to her ready to attack. the cat was a large gray tom cat he had a look of anger in his eyes. she had never seen a cat this angry. she looked worried. the tom asked her what she was doing in the area, and she told him she was from twigclan and that she was only hunting. the tom seemed more calm knowing she was from twigclan. (twigclan was known by his clan to be way to kind for their own safety)

the tom explained to fallingleaf that she had left her clan's territory. he lead her to the half-way point of the two clans and they talked about the differences of the two clans. she told him about her clan, and he told her about his clan. he asked a lot of questions about how the dens were set up. the two cats went to the half-way point each day to talk. she had been the only apprentice in her clan so she felt like he was the best friend she never had. she trusted him.

the tom left his clan to stay with her. fallingleaf showed him around her clan and introduced him to the leader and deputy. the deputy did not trust the tom, but the leader told the deputy they had nothing to worry about. new cats came by all the time so most cats were pretty calm about new members, after all what could one cat do? the tom stayed up late at night and the deputy sometimes was seen spying on him. fallingleaf confronted the leader about the deputy spying on her mate. the leader told the deputy to stop or else she would lose her rank. the deputy knew better than to disobey her leader so she tried to stop.

the deputy was worried about fallingleaf and the other cats. they were all very trusting cats who had never been in a real fight. fallingleaf went to talk with the tom, she told him how annoyed she was at the deputy, and she explained to him all about what the deputy had done. the tom had a worried look on his face. fallingleaf noticed he was trying to stay away from the deputy and leader. she wondered why but she never asked. he was her mate and she trusted him with her life. that was her mistake.

not a single cat was suspicious about him other than the deputy, at least until the leader saw him sneak out. as it turned out, the tom was a spy. he never really loved fallingleaf. the tom had been returning to his clan at night and telling the how to invade twigclan. his clan attacked them and the barely survived. the tom's clan took away the leaders last life along with most of the cats.
the surviving cats were able to defeat the tom's clan. most cats told fallingleaf she had been a great fighter, but she only saw herself as the reason the attack happened. had she not wondered away from the clan, they would all be safe.

it took falling leaf moons to realize the tom was the real one to blame.

Cat Name: Littlefang
Clan: JuniperClan (link in sig)
Rank: elder
Gender: female
Age: 63 seasons

Prompt:

Any cat who lives as long as Littlefang is bound to have made some mistakes along the way. Some are trivial. Some are less so.

However, with age comes wisdom. In hindsight, most of her mistakes, even the "big" ones, weren't earth-shattering. There is only one great regret that still torments her, though.

She hadn't particularly wanted to have kits or a family of any kind. But her mate had wanted something more. And she wanted him to be happy. So soon, two became four.

Littlefang wasn't a bad mother. Her sons were always well taken care of, with full bellies and a warm nest. They seemed happy, too. They would play together and with their father. Littlefang didn't play- she had no interest in the silly, loud games of kits. When her mate suggested he stay in the nursery with the kits so she could return to the warriors' den, she didn't hesitate.

It wasn't that she didn't care for her kits. She loved them, of course. She was just a little too independent. She didn't want to curl up next to anyone or play games. She wasn't inclined to the honey-sweet language one uses with kits, so she let her mate be the one to give their kits the attention they craved.

As they grew, they became distant from their mother. Her mate, too, eventually tired of her coldness, and he moved on as well.

Looking back on her life now, Littlefang wishes she had tried a little harder. Now that they were all gone to StarClan, Littlefang missed her little family. She wished she had played with those kits when they were small, and let them snuggle in close to her, even when it was hot and uncomfortable. She should have told her mate how much he meant to her. She should have found a way to express some part of her love for them.

It was too late, now. Perhaps, someday, she would meet them again in StarClan. She would tell them then.

Cat Name: Beetlewhisper
Clan: Voyagerclan
Rank: Dione/Elder
Gender: male
Age: 89 moons

Prompt:
Beetlewhisper yawned as he walked out of his den. The poor Iapetus had been working for two days on almost no sleep, and he wasn't thinking very well, but everyone had been injured or sick. This time, he had a particularly ill patient; Ratclaw. He wasn't improving, but his illness slowed slightly thanks to Beetlewhisper's constant care.

Dewstar looked at the exhausted tom. "Beetlewhisper! You look like a bear mauled you! Get some sleep, will you?"

"I can't. Ratclaw is still too sick." He stifled another yawn.

"Let Rosepaw care for him but for Voyagerstar's sake go to sleep or something!" Dewstar growled.

Beetlewhisper shook his head. "As much as I trust Rosepaw, he can't take care of him on his own. Now if you will excuse me, I must go get my patient's herbs." Without listening to anything she had to say, he walked out of the camp.

"Ah, where are those plants?" He mumbled to himself. Everything was blurry and felt heavy as he trudged onward. He saw something in the distance. It looked like another cat but he couldn't be certain. "Hello?" He called, approaching the blurry figure.

The figure turned to face him with something in it's mouth... It looked like the plant he needed!

"I need that plant there!" He said.

The figure ignored him as it turned away. He narrowed his eyes. How inconsiderate! He ran after the figure as best as he could. "I need that plant!" He snarled as he got closer. The large figure stopped and turned, laughing.

"You don't scare me. What do you need this plant for, anyway? It's useless."

Beetlewhisper growled. "I have a sick and dying patient."

The figure rolled it's eyes. It looked like an unusually large and long furred silver spotted tabby with equally large features and a strange accent. "Go find your own!"

Beetlewhisper suddenly yowled and lunged at the figure. The figure stumbled slightly, but swiped a paw at him, knocking him off. Beetlewhisper slid before lunging at the figure again, this time landing a successful blow. It dropped the plant, yowling and
throwing him off. It pinned him down and landed several blows before it knew it won. it then let him go and stalked off, not even grabbing the plant it dropped.

Beetlewhisper tried to stand but his body felt heavy and the sleep finally consumed him. 'I can't... Ratclaw..' He thought before everything went dark.

His eyes flashed open. He felt alert but sore. He looked over at the plant- it was a dandelion- not the plant he needed.

He quickly found the plant he needed and ran back to camp as fast as possible, limping the entire way. He ran into the camp with the cats staring at him.

"Beetlewhisper!" Dewstar yelled. He wasn't paying attention as he ran into his den, but Ratclaw wasn't there.

"Where is Ratclaw?" Beetlewhisper hissed in frustration.

There was a brief silence before Rosepaw spoke up. "He's gone, Beetlewhisper..."

Beetlewhisper stared at him. "...but I was only gone for a little bit. That's impossible!"

"You've been gone two days... He just didn't make it." Rosepaw looked at his mentor.

Beetlewhisper couldn't believe it. Then it came back to him. He went to get the herbs, but he mistook a dandelion as the herbs he needed. That figure wasn't a cat. It was a lynx. He fought a pointless battle and lost not only that but his patient as well because he didn't just sleep when Dewstar told him.

Now, he had the scars on his leg to constantly remind him of his mistake.
