are they as tough as they look?: While Venessa tends to try and act as tough as she possible can for as long as she can, she tends to crumble in the presence of an actual threat or someone being threatened. She struggles to deal with confronting her demons but is always willing to help those who need her because that's what she would want someone to do for her. She is willing to defend anyone and is able to act tough then, but when it comes to protecting herself, it most often won't end in her favor.

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained." The phrase was often repeated through out her youth. She was hounded by her parents, rulers of a great kingdom both rich and vain. She had to obey the code, built around such a phrase to be wild, to be unpredictable to get what you wanted.
She quickly became reckless and rude, if she wanted something she took it. It was hers for the taking, so she stole, she traded and she bartered. She built herself up on a pedestal high above everyone else, scoffing at anyone who dared to challenge her. The few who did dare to speak ill words on her name she put them back into their places, below her underneath her paws. She was their ruler now, everything they owned now belonged to her.
Till war broke out and spirits had fallen lower then before; it was between her and her items, or her and the people. Selfishly she picked her things, finding material items worth more then the lives of her citizens. Then when invaders came, they finally broke the crown atop her head. The tough nature she had built up over the years, everything she knew, all the items she had taken were gone. Now she was the one to take the fall, to be bullied and harassed day after day.
She struggled to find peace with herself years later, feeling foolish for how she treated others. How she had picked her items of vanity and self indulgence over the lives of others. So she devoted her life to wandering the war-taken world, collecting the tales of those affected by the horrible deeds done to them by their leaders. She found a hint of pride in being the voice for others, to help spread their stories in hopes of enlightening others that one does not need a tough attitude or countless items to enjoy themselves.
