Elidi longs for the time when the sun was golden,
a time where familiarity echoed in every crook and nanny.
Where every memory lived like burnished sepia photographs,
(and not discarded in hidden photo books).

Even for a brief time, she wants to live when the willows will not weep,
before the rivers carved paths and canyons into the plains.
The moments when she was once revered as babylonica,
(and not recalled as the resting place of ophelia).

How she watched oceans of grass flow in waves as she passes by,
And how she would sit by fields of wheat and listen to their whispers in the wind.
Yet fields must be harvested, families to be fed, the past must end too,
And it is a soft kindness to pry the lingering desires from out stretched hands.

So she gently unfurls her mind to move beyond the golden days of the past,
but only so she could live during the dawning suns of the present.

You guys made this really hard to judge, but I loved the feeling I got from reading this description, as I could really picture of calm before the storm! I hope you take good care of them!

Favorite type of weather: Instance's favourite type of weather is the moment just before a good storm when the air smells of salt and you can feel the electricity sparking in the air. The faint far-off rumble of thunder as rain clouds slowly start to form and roll in the hide the sun from view. She's also partial to the moment just before the storm and petrichor floats all around her but even that can't hold a candle to the moments before a storm.
