actually was gay. Back then, he had very few friends. At some point he got sick of it, and lashed out against
the bullies, with words, and it did something. It felt. . . wholesome. They stopped bothering him.Not long
after, a young flit came up to them and thanked them, because the bullies learned better. He awarded Vapor
a plastic crown, explaining it wasn't much, but they wanted to express their gratitude. Inspired, He thanked
the young flit and as a reminder of his worth, he wears the crown everyday.

Alistar was born into a wealthy family. This wealthy family was stubborn with a certain greed in their veins. Alistar never understood it when he was young, but his family claimed it was all they had keeping their name known. As a child, he was looked down on, not because of himself or anything he did, but it was because of how his family walked on others. His heart was pure, and anyone willing enough to talk to him knew he was ready to help those less fortunate than himself at the drop of a hat, even if it meant trouble for himself, which had included stealing if he had to.

One day as a teenager, with his mane still gray, he met a young pup who desperately needed food to get by. He agreed to help the pup, then proceeded to take some money from his family's wealth and some food for it. His family was much less than thrilled. How dare he steal from his own kin? After that incident, he discovered what his family was really like, and he promptly left. On his own and needing help now, he tried to ask those he helped for assistance. They all turned a blind eye. He felt like he was alone in this world, with nobody to turn to.

A few days later, someone had spotted him and offered him help, which he was grateful for and accepted. They offered him all he could ever need and more. The only requirement was he continue being kind and assisting others, even though he had been abandoned when he needed help. He agreed, but also voiced his concern about him not wanting to corrupt his heart with greed. "This crown will help remind yourself of everything you were willing to sacrifice for others. The rainbow in your mane will show your kindness. The more selfish you are, the more your mane will turn back to gray. If your mane is all gray, then you will lose everything, just as you once did." With that, hi once gray mane turned into a vibrant rainbow, a bright crown appeared above his head, and with that, the stranger vanished into the wind.

He devoted everything to assisting others, all while living a humble, quiet life. His crown is a constant reminder to himself to stay humble and kind.

Tonight was going to be a night to remember. The spark started by word of mouth in the underground scene; shouts among friends in the clubs where the thumping of the bass beat in sync with their hearts and drowned out everything else. The elusive Firefly and the soft-spoken Alto were collabing and word on the street hinted it was something big. Something larger than they've ever done.

The flame grew when lineup lists were released. World renown and fan favorite artists who regularly attend concerts and festivals were shockingly absent. Fans blew the roof off of social media in speculation. No one's heard anything. No one's said anything. What could this mean? Spotify was recommending the absent artists most recent albums, online shops restocked their merch overnight. They could feel it, a storm was brewing and only time could tell.

Adding fuel to the fire would be an understatement, what followed next was more like tossing a can of gasoline into a college bonfire. While the EDM world was frantically searching for clues, it was like the calm before the storm.

The internet went wild. The puzzle was coming together and the King of EDM tweeting about summer in the dead of winter was the final piece. In all the commotion everyone failed to notice his radio silence on social media; the EDM superstar posts on social media at least once a day. The hype grew into a raging inferno, the cat was out of the bag and in the weeks following an official lineup was released for Beyond Wonderland 2019. The King and his council were ready to make an appearance.

Luciano was a scrappy young flitling who came from a small down in the valley and dreamed of something more. He walked himself to school, picked a few more fights than he should have but always in the name of defensing whoever was being picked on. Both his parents worked long hours and he turned to music to ease their spirits after a long day.

"That was beautiful, mi rey" his father would say.

"You have such a wonderful heart, mi sol" his mother would tell him.

If his music could put a smile on his parent's faces, what's to say he couldn't do that for the rest of the world? With one goal in mind, he set out to be the king of EDM.

The road to king-hood wasn't easy, there seemed to be mountains of hurdles in his way. Though his love for music was rooted in traditional instruments, he picked up many jobs despite his parents wanting him to focus on his education just so he could afford the base equipment needed to get started and enough to help his parents with the bills. He wanted his first piece to mean something, a tribute to his origins. Some weeks were harder than others, maybe he should have bought cheaper equipment so he could give more to his parents. They urged him that he should use his earnings on his dreams, not to waste his money on them, they were strong and no matter what happened, they would see the rainbow at the end of the darkness. He wanted this song to mean happiness, to lift the spirits of the masses, to help them find a little sweetness in a world that sometimes seems so bitter.

His debut was Candyland, and people could not have been more grateful.

He never expected that one song to gain as much popularity as it had, he cried tears of joy as he read comments, reviews, tweets, and more as he rushed to his parents and showed them the news. His mother kissed his head, "You did something wonderful, my lucky little Luciano." An endearment that would normally make him blush, he embraced instead. But one thing was for sure, this first song wasn't going to be some fluke, he was going to make a name for himself.

His songs were few and far between, still working to afford better equipment and to help his parents. He experimented with Elektronomia and it was very well received. No one could pin down his style, he loved to dabble in all spectrum's of EDM which many found refreshing but critics thought was too risky. For months, Luciano felt defeated as no one would sign him on. "Not consistent" "A liability" "A fluke" each statement tore through him and trapped in his own mind, he released a song that spoke volumes. No one expected Sapphire to top the charts like it did.

Days flew by in a storm, suddenly everyone was trying to get into contact with him, even those he was originally rejected by. As much as he would have loved their offers now, he was stopped and made to realize. Firefly of all artists reached out to him, the two shared experiences back an forth, the hardships being a young artist brought upon themselves but they were self-made. They got this far with the love of their families and the support from their friends. If he stays true to his ideals, to keep making music from the heart, there's no limit to what Luciano could do.

He felt free, he felt invigorated, he saw the rainbow on the edge of the horizon and together they released A Moment Apart.

Things were only going up from there. As much as he would have loved to hand the title to other artists, others that have been around longer, they all rejected the title "King of EDM" bu the fans with a smile. Many preffered to stay underground while others were comfortable with their own titles. If there was someone worthy of presenting their ideals in such a down-to-earth matter, it was Luciano. He'd always be lucky, the clip his mother had passed down to him always tucked around his ear, but the people needed a king, and that crown, so long as he never strayed from his heart, would be proudly worn atop his head.

Years later, as he looks out across the sea of people as he goes through his set, he's fueled by their emotion. Love, happiness, joy. All of his time and effort, blood, sweat and tears makes each moment worth it. Years of practice, odd jobs, rejections and successes all packed into one symbol. His crown. A signature or trademark; call it what you will but for Luciano, his crown represents everything he is, the essence of his music. It symbolizes hope for his fans; a beacon of light that other flock to in order to find peace in his music and a beat for their hearts. Maybe one day, the crown will be passed down to someone who makes a greater impact down the line but for now, long live the King.
