A thin line of light glowed around his edges, making his darkness appear just a bit softer.
Stars glimmered there, winking in and out like birthday candles.
He made wishes on them, hoping his light would grow.
But every time he blew one out, two more formed.
Eventually, the light of these stars in his life
lit up his darkest parts and it was as if
there was never any darkness at all.
