    xxTDLR :
His greatest fear and worst moment is all tied into one being,
his master. Caen fears the male more than he does the icy cold
hands of death. It was his master that made him how he was,
so no other would think to steal him. After all, magic wielding
slaves were as rare as they came.
    Personality :xx
A quiet man down to the bitter end. Caen would rather keep
quiet then ever voice his opinion unless there was a dire need
for him to speak out. He prefers being alone, enjoying the
quiet that is his own thoughts. He fears darkness, and never
goes out at night unless it is along a lit path.

“You’ve done well.” Kaishi’s voice rumbled deep from within his throat, a grin spread wide across his face showing how pleased he was with my finished task. My body shook, and my gaze held steady to the single eye of Kaishi bearing down onto me. The sapphire coloured orb didn’t hold the look his face showed. It was blank, swimming with words behind, hidden within my master’s head. “Very well, my little incaensor.” It wasn’t my name. It was a slur for what I was, a label and a very sad reminder. My gaze must have wavered, because Kaishi turned back to what I had done. The mess of it was… horrifying, if nothing else. The red smears all over the wooden table caught my gaze for longer than it should have, my hands digging into the folds of my shirt, keeping the guilt driven thoughts away from my mind.

The squirming creature on the wooden table wheezed out an inaudible squawk of some kind, limbs moving in a shaky manner, eyes twitching to match the movement of Kaishi as he stepped closer to my… creation. Wings sprouting from the back of the creature lifted its body up off the table slightly, but it was far too weak to get too far. Kaishi examined it, single visible eye flicking over each stitch I had placed. My gaze shifted to the potions and elixirs sitting in the wooden crafted stall. Some glowed slightly in the dim candle lit room, bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass item. I swallowed, eyes flicking back to what I had made for my master, my creation. It was hideous, a mixture of creatures I had caught over time. All held together with the stitches I did by hand, the brewed potions I made… and the magic I caste.

I don’t quite understand why Kaishi was so pleased with me, his expression hid little, grin stretching across his face and showing pointed teeth. My master had never looked so happy to see my work before, and usually would give me a more reserved smile when giving my approval for something I’d done. I shifted on my feet, removing my hands from my shirt and smoothing it absentmindedly. Kaishi glanced back to me, grin dropping off his face as he ran a hand through his hair. “I want you to make a stronger elixir. Don’t enchant it, leave that to me,” Kaishi looked to the creature on the table “Dispose of that. I have no use for it.” He turned and left without another word. I looked to my creation, and it gazed up at me with un-blinking eyes.

I wasn’t sure how to dispose of this… it was alive in a way, and I was the one that brought it into this situation. If not for me, multiple creatures would be alive and thriving in the woods. I turned from it, grabbing a small saucer and looking for a beaker that contained water. It wasn’t long until I found some, and brought the now water filled saucer to the creature. I put it on the edge of the table, and pushed it closer, carefully and slowly. It watched me, and I adverted my eyes, feeling guilty. It watched me for a moment longer, before dipping its mouth into the saucer of water and drinking slowly. I couldn’t help but smile slightly, but the action startled it. It slunk back slightly. I frowned, and stepped away, looking around the room I tried to find something it could eat, but… what would it eat? My hands fidgeted for a moment, and I reached into my basket, grabbing my sandwich. It was basically a lamb souvlaki in a sandwich, one of my favourites. I pulled out some of the meat, and went back to the creature, placing it down carefully.

It took a while to coax it to eat, even more to do anything else with it. Every attempt to move it led with me getting bitten, and I honestly will admit I regret not removing the fangs. I ended up moving it to my basket, and luckily it went right to sleep. Any more stalled time would lead to a punishment of some sort, and I had to make the elixirs that Kaishi requested. I just pray that he didn’t make me create another… thing.

The room was eerily quiet, no birds could be heard from outside, no bugs buzzing about. Just a still silence that you could cut through with a knife. I craned my neck, painfully aware of needles floating nearby, held over certain points of my body by Kaishi’s magic. The wooden table I lay against was stained and creaked slightly with my movement. Small dull rays of light filtered in through slots of wood and holes in the room’s foundation and dust particles floated around me without a care for my troubles, not hearing my silent plea for help. I felt a few pricks along my body and stilled myself. I saw what had made the stagnant smell in the room. Severed tail parts sat on a tarp. I swallowed, and my eyes flicked to the eyes that rested in beakers on a table nearby. Next to them sat a brew of my own making, bubbling ominously.

My breath hitched as Kaishi walked back into the room clad in a dark latex coat and a black gas mask. I could see both of his eyes, gleaming down at me, holding something manic within as the two orbs seemingly glowed. I shivered from the intensity and pressed my back against the table as Kaishi leered over me. I whimpered, calling out his name, but the warmth I used to see in his gaze was no longer there, instead, hidden behind the crazed look was something as cold as ice. Kaishi no longer cared for me, not like he once had before.

Kaishi’s amethyst coloured eye seemed to gleam in the dullness of the room before every nerve on my body shot aflame with pain. My eyes shot wide open and I writhed from my spot, back arching off of the table, fingers digging into the grain of the wood. Kaishi laughed, a deep evil sound in his throat. I bit deep into my lip, to keep the scream from bubbling from my throat, but I had little success, as I cried out.

Everything went black.

Image
I was awoken with a start, pain ebbing away at every corner of my body. I wheezed out cough that was heavy on my bones. Everything was sore, some parts more than others. I had to force my eyes… wait, something feels wrong… open, and I grunted at the light that shone in them. My arms felt heavy as I tried to push myself up off the table but with little success, every joint in my body scraping against the other in a horrid manner. I heard another in the room chuckle and my ears… perked? I gasped, mind immediately pushing past the pain as my hand shot up to what should be a normal human ear… what is this? My mind began reeling, and my body jolted, pushing me off the table and onto the floor. The landing jolted me, but adrenaline was pumping through me. I wheezed to myself in desperation as I reached towards my bag, pulling out a mirror. A boot on my arm stopped me, and I looked up.

Kaishi look down upon me, gaze hard yet deeply amused as a grin pulled at his features. He clicked his tongue and bent down to wrap his fingers around the item I sought. I felt tears running down my face, as my mouth opened in protest.

“Do you really want to look, little incaensor?” He asked ominously. My mouth closed, and I nodded slowly. Kaishi’s grin widened, and the mirror was flipped to show my what… a scream ripped itself from my throat, fingers digging into the skin of my face. The tears flowed more heavily, as my nails began to create cuts on my dull lifeless skin. Kaishi seemed to bubble with laughter, dropping the mirror on the ground before me. He turned to leave, and I scrambled for the shards, ignoring the pricks along the skin of my fingers. The shards gave me little vision of my face, and the screams eventually died down to painful sobs catching in my throat.

What had I done to deserve this horrible fate… this truly was the worst day of my miserable life.

    username;; ~prophecy~
    name;; zechariah
    gender;; male
    personality snippet; (10-150)
prompt - what was the scariest moment in their life m?;; (350-1500)
“I can’t. I can’t.” Zechariah mumbled, slouched in his chair.

“Are you sure? You can’t remember anything?” The policeman grew a bit frustrated, although he was still sympathetic towards the viscet he was questioning.

“I. can’t.” He pounded his fists on the table, tail twitching.

“Try harder.” The policeman asked kindly, pausing, but then adding a soft “Please?”

“My name is Zechariah. I’m 32 years old. I used to be a surgeon.” He sighed, having trouble spitting out the words. “I used to be a surgeon.” Dissatisfaction appeared across his face as he looked to his tremoring hands.

“Can you remember anyone suspicious before...” He cut himself off at the sight of distress on the other viscet’s face.

“No. I don’t. Why do you keep asking. I. Can’t. Remember!” Zechariah growled upon hearing anotger question about what had happened.

“The doctor said you should have recovered at least some pieces of memory by now.” He snapped back snarkily.
“Can’t believe they even released something so useless and stubborn.” He mumbled to himself, rolling his eyes as he looked down at his clip board.

Zechariah didn’t hear. But if he did, he would be furious. Being oblivious to the officer’s disliking of him, he complimented him. “Thank you for being so patient with me. I’m sorry I’m probably a burden since I can’t remember anything that happened.”

“Mmhmm.” The officer rolled his eyes, not even looking up at Zechariah.

basically was a doctor who rushed to help at the scene of a terrorist attack but also became a victim when the bombings continued, suffered from amnesia and starts to have these terrible reoccurring nightmares which he later learns, after watching the news, was what actually happened to him in real life.
