Val loves the salty breeze of the ocean. She loves her paws in the sand. Her favorite thing though is splashing through the waves. The water on her fur reminds her of home. Even though she is far from home the ocean is the same. It grounds her to keep her going on her journey. Val wants nothing more then to find her home; a place where she belongs, and as long as her new home has the ocean she will be happy.

Val admires her new drawing of her tattoo. The picture describes a ocean from her home. Val knows it would help her to keep grounded when she is not near the ocean. She draws it on her arm and sighs,
“I might actually have to get this done. It looks so gorgeous, I love it.” Her gravely voice mumbles as she talks to herself.
